Hints of a release date mean nothing. Rough times mean nothing. Very specific release dates mean nothing. Even an actual release means very little. Nothing short of a download link in your inbox holds any weight at all.
What you are asking for is the chance to be upset when those other things don’t pan out. That’s not good for you.

does remove all the incredibly annoying setting up when jumping from ZBrush to Maya for rendering? loading all the displacement maps and setting up the annoying subdivision approximation?
okay, obviously I was trying to illicit sympathy from pixologic and of course, being in a GoZ thread, I was meaning drop us PC users about GoZ since it came out just for the mac… but hey just wishing and hoping like everyone else.
With GoZ > modo, it’s the click of a button. Viola. You obviously set up your uvs, disp/normal, and texture in ZBrush, which is nothing, but then it just does everything else for you. Very, very sweet innovation.
I’m having issues with one mesh, but I’m pretty sure the problem is, well, not the software…let’s just say it’s the indian, not the spear.
maybe i should reinstall OSX on my PC so I can have fun with this awesome feature

It does seem funny releasing for 3.5 and then recoding to fit inside 4.0 as they say 4.0 is out at Christmas.

Yes, all 3.1 plugins work in 3.1
However
NO plugins for version 3.1 or earlier should be installed in 3.5. They are not compatible with the many changes and new features, and could result in instability or undesirable side effects. Some will even prevent ZBrush from launching entirely.
We are currently updating all official plugins for use with version 3.5. A few will not be updated, but this is only because they are no longer needed. (For example, ZMapper.)
We do not have an ETA on any specific plugin. Please don’t ask. Our team is working as quickly as possible and will release each one as it is ready.

GoZ has not yet been released for ZBrush 3.5 and is currently only available for Mac users with version 3.2.
It will be made available for all artists – PC and Mac – at the time that ZBrush 3.5 is released for the Mac. We do not currently have a release date for these, but can promise that it will be no longer than absolutely necessary to deliver a quality, feature-rich product.
Hopefully 3.5 for Mac will be out soon.

Same stupid story - announcing then saying nothing for a loooong time after deadline. Thats just the way it is. All this Z3.5 is missing hell of a lot of things since they did not include neither rewrite plugins - is like faster but castrated version with some new bells and whistles.
Anyway they will do exactly same thing that always - delete all posts they dont like, try to keep people quiet, announce GOZ for PC like 5 times more and then PROBABLY give it to enthusiastic crowd of funboys that instantly will forget about how long they were waiting. Untill that comes you would hear that update is free so you should shut up and wait.
Yawn. That is really old now. Hope for mudbox to develop some reposing tool and I am gone.

Damn, thats what I call clearing things up! They should use that phrase in announcement instead of constantly giving dates with no meaning whatsoever.
And Z4 is coming out christmass? Yeah, right… 2011 though.
My only assumption now that they’ve sneaked by with the “late september” remark for it’s release. Is probably now going to be released in the 4.0 update.
