I love u
The past week has been glorious! I’ve been playing around with GoZ with Modo and Decimation Master and it’s changing everything! The fact that I can sculpt then add sections of geometry without reprojecting details is just awesome.
This is actually a better solution than incorporating ZBrush’s own set of new basic polygon modeling tools because you still get to use your favorite and most familiar modeling app (when the GoZ plugin becomes available for it) to add geometry. It’s a brilliant solution! Way to go Pix!!!
I honestly thought you were serious!!! heheh Yeah, what’s the age group of the Max users that post here??
Each time I post here I must say, GoZ is AWESOME!!! It’ll only get better from here. I was ready to give up trying to get displacements to work well, but here they work and are so easy!!!
any idea when the PC versoin of GoZ plug-in will be released?
ballpark estimate?
now?!OKGO!
As announced, in August

The Usual Suspens
holy sh-
I will have to give kudos to Pixologic for goZ as well. It works great and I havent had this much fun modeling ever since I started using it.
I’d like to add my two cents. GoZ is like transpose, a huge leap ahead for Zbrush. I love it. In fact I just quit my job in a lousy economy so I can Zbrush until I get kicked out of my overvalued house, eating cardboard and living off of welfare.
Any chance I can be included in the fun. I am a softimage user. Any ideas on release dates for softimage.
Chances are it will be out with the windows release of zb4.
Best of luck!
I was so excited, I was totally freaking out the first time I saw this, my girlfriend thought the house was on fire or something. I don’t think I’ve ever loved a company as much as I love Pixologic right now. You guys have made 3D modelling so accessible. I may be an amateur but thanks to you I can get my professional artist within to flow into my computer. Damn, Zbrush 4 is sooooo badass! In 2005 I taught myself C4D while not on guard, or in firefights, serving in Iraq. Then I discovered Zbrush. Now I can easily import/export between the 2? You guys ROCK!
WE DO NOT FORGET LIGHWAVE 3d, IS NECESSARY TO REMOVE THE PLUGIN FOR THAT FANTASTIC PROGRAMS
Hi Hazonku, as an ex soldier I take my hat off to you (beret) for using your free time to train yourself in the art of 3D… I have quite a few South African buddies serving in Iraq and Afghanistan… I’d like to see some of your work… keep it up…
awesome work!!!
hats off!!
im just blown away… excellent. at the moment i just know how to use sketchup and studio max. no knowledge with maya nor modo… so hope max at least… will have this integration.
Not to be just another dude griping about a Max version, but I would be interested in a bit more official data related to the following:
Is the development of the plugin and linkage code something that is dependent upon Autodesk (via either permissions, or granting access to information, or actually DOING the coding), or is it something that Pixologic can build 100% on their own with the standard Max SDK and tools/scripts?
I really don’t have an interest in Mudbox, but I also have only a little interest in completely revamping my business to move away from Max. Frankly, I’d like an answer on this because if GoZ for Max is a year or more off or potentially NOT happening, I might have to seriously consider switching to Maya…note that this is not simply because of ZBrush, but because of some rather screwy moves ADsk is making with Max.
is this still suposed to be released this month sometime? or has i been confused?
oh and with max support. please
Yes, yes, yes, GoZ for Max will come, maybe after it works ok with C4D (I hope)
