Another Very Nice from you Mag!!! Great!
How long did it take you to create that dragon?
and uh, check your email much? :lol:
piz - thanks very much
Dark-Anim - no idea to be honest… I’m working in my spare time when there’s an hour or so at hand…
well now onto something different for me
I knew next to nothing about Warhammer 40k before I started my project but my boss had this book with the sketches by Jes Goodwin, very rough pencils, and I loved the stuff. Fabius Bile was a character that stood out and funny enough when I started to dig deeper into the story behind it I really enjoyed it. He’s a crazy scientist, experimenting on humans and himself… wacko
Unfortunately not many people find him very cool hehe 'cause there’s just no material to work with other than a couple of small pictures and tiny Warhammer minatures [each painted differently] like this one. So I had some freedom with the design of his backpack and gear [well a bit
]
I’ve just finished the base mesh lately [I’m working on this project only when time allows while I’m at work, so it’s taking some time ] and began zbrushing. I’ve done the head more or less and tried a quick colour map in XSI just to see what the sculpting would look like with a colour so excuse it being all shiny and rough - there’s no spec maps or anything else, just a quick projection. In the end I want him to look a bit like a dead person… 'cause it’s only the bile pumped into him that keeps the guy alive
Anyway, below is the head capture from Zbrush and the base mesh, without anything more + first render…
Now this is really amazing. Where did you learn to do complex armor like that? Also the skin painting looks amazing so far, as well as the sculpting. He looks pretty mean though. You may want to push his skull more to enhance the semi-dead look. Ew a bile zombie, that’s gross!
amazing stuff as aways mag
