Greeble Pack for Zbrush 4R7

Thanks for the comparison…very helpful!

… Painter for the Map/Texture/Material Generation. Blender for the Animation

You mean you can export the texture & material from SubstancePainter to Blender?

Don’t the mats depend on the render engine?
I use BI, Cycles, & Octane…each has its own mats.

You mean you can export the texture & material from SubstancePainter to Blender?

Yes you can export out the Textures as Albedo (Diffuse)/Roughness/Metal/Emission… Images and take them into Blender for example and set-up the nodes to except those textures in Cycles and achieve similar effect as in Marmoset and Substance Painter. Unfortunately I don’t have much info on how, but have seen tutorials out there that do it.

Here’s one that I know of, there are others out there.

Hey Glenn!
Thanks for the info and link to Jason’s tut.

Very cool…I always have wanted to learn to use nodes, but haven’t found
a tut yet that prevented my eyes from rolling back into my head!

I’ll have a go at it, and see how far I get…but will need some strong coffee.

Do you really need SPainter to create complex materials?
Why not do it directly in Cycles?

Do you currently or previously use Blender?

I’ve tinkered with blender, but rarely ever use it. You don’t need substance painter for all the textures, but it’s a powerful tool that lets you create multiple maps at the same time, also giving you a preview in real time. Check out Andrew prises tutorials on texturing in blender, they are excellent.

re: Andrew Price (BlenderGuru)…great guy and great tutorials!
I’ve learned a lot from him…like you. ;):+1:

I’ll keep SubstancePainter in mind.

Timelapse of my Star Fighter in Zbrush using Zmodeler for the Low Poly Generation and used my Greeble Element Technique to create the Detailed Panels. Also created a Low Poly Game Model of it using Substance Painter and Marmoset Toolbag. Finally did a HiRes Render in Keyshot. Enjoy

Thanks!

Nice one
i wonder how you made the lowpoly gamemodel in painter.

Thanks! The Low Poly and High Poly was created in Zbrush then exported to Substance Painter to do the Normal/AO/Curvature Baking along with the Textures. I’m thinking of doing a Tutorial on the process of Modeling, Texturing, and making a Web 3D version in Marmoset. Probably work on it in the next Week.

That’s what i tought.
so the lopoly is before subdividing i think.

another tutorial, you are spoiling us.

thnx in advance

Not Sure I’m Spoiling you, I like to do it. I’ve Been looking over the Shoulder of some Great Artist on this Forum for a Decade and Figure its about time I gave back in what way I could.

Another Timelapse of Star Interceptor. Working out the Kinks before I do a Full Blown Tutorial for You. What to Do and What Not to Do. Its going to be Zbrush/Substance Painter/Sketchfab Tutorial and I think youll Guys will have Fun with it. Enjoy this Timelapse for Now.

Great job, Glenn!

Thanks! The More I Play with Zmodeler the More I Love that Tool. Never Thought I’d really get into Low Poly Modelling, but Zmodeler makes it Fun & Easy.

First excuse me English
I’m using google translator would like to thank Glenn Patterson by tutorials am using so zbrush to a month and learned a lot from him always watch your videos with the tradutor google not Tradus right but the to understand why you put the keys used in video in your video Cyborg Construction would very much like a step by step if possible but either way thank you for excelentes videos.
Here is a sample of what I did watching their videos

Ricardorsp

Thank you

Your Welcome! Your Ship came out Great. As for the Cyborg, I dont have a Full Tutorial on Her yet, it may be a little while on that one, but I’ll do a Breakdown on here in a Few Days for you.
