Greeble Pack for Zbrush 4R7

Knacki Hey Glenn,

I am following your thread from the beginning and just want to stop by to say:
Thank you!!!

Your Welcome! Welcome to the Greeble Nation.

michalis Thank you for the tutorial!!!
Some I knew, some I didn’t know.
Most importantly, always exiting to watch other artists, a little different approaching.
And lot of fun in the end. “Zbrush is upside down”

Your Welcome! I’m Glad you were able to Walk away with some New Approachs of doing Texturing and Thank You for all you Taught Me when it comes to Displacements.

Hey Glenn,
haven’t had a lot of time the past few days to work on your last tutorial…life gets in the way!

But am having fun just playing with ZB greebles, and fantasizing in VUE…there must be a good SciFi story in this
scene, but I’m not a writer…just a dreamer.

Need to think more asymmetrically!

Megacal that is outstanding.
Bravo!

Thanks mealea!

When I said, “Need to think more asymmetrically!”, I almost added, “…like mealea!”

Looks Awesome! I’m Thinking some sort of Harvesters, harvesting some unknow resource from Earth, that we know nothing about, but a Rouge Nation starts trying to take them out with Nukes because they got to close to their border. Then its all out War with the Aliens and if we just left them alone they would of collected what they wanted and left Peacefully. Seems like a Good Story Line.

Yeah, tell me about it!

Great scene, megacal! Loving it!

(And youz guys are WAY off. Clearly, they are harvesting meatballs just south of Mt. Vesuvius! I mean, who wouldn’t?)

Glenn,
“Harvesters” …could be…like the Martian Tri-Pods? May not be on Earth, too.
Maybe they’re just babies playing…Mom is coming! =O

Morbius,
harvesting meatballs! LOL! Why not? Anything’s possible.

Just being silly, megacal. I’m good at that!

Seriously, it IS great work!

Tinkering in Z Tonight and thought what if I made a couple of Decimated Greeble Buildings and made them into Nanomeshes and what do you know I have the starts of a Future City Generator. Need to add some more small buildings and a Transportation system. Got the Wheels Turning. Below are the Results of just 2 Building Nanomeshes, its just a Start. Enjoy

Nice work, Glenn!

I’m working on a futuristic cityscape night scene, but somewhat more ‘traditional’.
Hope to have something to show pretty soon.
Time. Never enough of it.

Sounds Cool! Cant wait to see your City!

great ideas.

maybe you can render and animate the transportation system in element 3d.

Future City Generator! What a cool idea!

Thanks Glenn…appreciate all you do to inspire us. :):+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Testing out my little City Generator with all the Greeble Buildings. Probably put something Together for you guys in the next few days. May end up showing you how to build your own instead of just giving you one, think you’ll learn more that way.

Great greebles Glenn! :):+1:

Did you add the water plane in KeyShot?

Here is a very short scenario of the “Harvestors” before I go on to something new. I had a lot of fun with simply rendering
from several different cameras, keeping everything else the same.

"Thankfully, the aliens didn’t seem to care I was there, like an ant, trembling as they passed silently overhead, though the hairs on my neck were sticking straight up, my heart was in my mouth, and I was trying to make myself look insignificant! There was no audible sound, but a terrifying pulsing sensation!

What do they want? Where are they from?? What do these beings look like???"

Quick, hide!
Too late!
Safe…for now!

megacal Great greebles Glenn! :):+1:

Did you add the water plane in KeyShot?

Sweet Renders!! Yes I added a Water Plane and Moon in Keyshot. Plane for the Water and Sphere for Moon with a Map I found on the Internet. Lot of Color Correction and atmospherics were added in Photoshop.

Hey Glenn,
thanks, those were done in VUE 2014 Studio.

I added a Water Plane and Moon in Keyshot…Lot of Color Correction and atmospherics were added in Photoshop.

More material for a SciFi story…very other-worldly. Really a shame there aren’t more good SciFi movies, based on classics,
e.g. Stranger in a Strange Land, Rogue in Space, etc. Less CGI & more story.

BTW, your tutorial using ZModeler was a big help getting started with it…starting to feel more intuitive.
I thought it was limited to just the QCube & QSphere, but works great with any of the primitives…don’t
even need to decrease the divisions.

Actually, I guess it works with any poly, edge, or point on any mesh created or imported…just can’t
do the “Initialize” stuff if it’s already a polymesh.

This started as a torus (“Ring3D”), and just used Extrude on polyloops…seems like the target should come first, then
the action.

Here’s a new Tutorial for you Guys. Show you how to create a Cool Displaced Pyramid along with a Abstract Design. Also my Latest Greeble Pack, added 2 New Backplates plus fine tuned the Bolt Pack so its not so chaotic. Enjoy
