Ok I think I´m done with sculpting!! time to start retopo
He’s a looker.
Great clothing and textures! I like all the ink and that harness, too.
Makes him memorable.
Thank you very much Jan!!!
Here is the final version of the brink fella. 80 K, rendered in marmoset.
He still looks memorable! Definitely not run of the mill.
Excellent renders. Nice topology!
Thank you very much Jan!!
Gonna try to do this realistic Samurai it´s still very wip but I´d like to finish him as a game model.
My students asked me to make this model for their final videogame project, and I could not refuse it
It is based in the concept by Barbara Ros: https://brujamelon.wordpress.com/
Hope you like it

love the armor and the detailing.
Wonderful work. Really like this a lot.
Wow! The level of detail is amazing. Would love to see that char in a game.
I saw in your OP that you started about 2 years ago. Not sure how much you modeled before that.
Amazing how fast you got to this! You seem a natural for this.
Do you mind if i ask, how long did it take you to create this and after 2 years or so, do you have your workflow about where you want it?
Always enjoy getting a sense of talent and effort needed to get something of this quality.
Thanks for any comments you could share!
Thank you very much guys!! I really appreciate that you like it
Before starting at the game artist academy I already had a lot of experience in 3d, but not specifically in characters, even though I did use zbrush and try to sculpt stuff when I could. I would not say I´m a natural at all man!! it has taken tons of work to improve, and I´d say that being in this school has been a great important part of the improvement. By this I mean that we have been doing weekly homework for two years now… All this homework that we do was critizied by our teachers and they made a video showing all the stuff that was done wrong and how to fix it. I truly believe that this will boost your improvement, as the next time you start sculpting those parts that gave you trouble you try to focus on the crit they gave you and try to do it right. It will take you way longer to figure out where you are failing without the crits… hope this makes sense
About this last project I think it has been around two months of work, but it´s very difficult to set up a timeline, cause it´s not like I´m working on it all day, I only do it when I have free time, so I really could not say for real how much it could take me. Besides that, this model was pretty hard for me, and I did a lot forth and back on her on the sculpting phase, one of the most difficult models I´ve made, and the crits Rich gave us on this last project where really hard, it was really great and horrible at the same time jaja, but in the end it is all for your benefit and helps you get better and better
About my workflow and being where I want to be… I think I´m just starting out I got a new job at a game studio as Character Artist, so I´m finally going to be working characters all day long. I really hope this will boost my skills more, cause until now I really had to do all this work at night and it was pretty hard sometimes :). So I´d say that right now I feel pretty confident about creating characters professionally, but I know I still have so so much to learn and I believe this is always going to be like this.
Sorry for so much text buddy, hope it helps
