tm, thank you. haha, excately same thing i heard from another friend when he saw this portrait… it might well be that my loose portraits are better in “speaking”… yes it was a quick one, i focused on expression and emotion, the likeness is rather weak though. would have needed more time to push the likeness, but i stoppped since i feeled otherwise i would ruin it…

yes, really i thought it fun to take the challenge to create portraits from a single foto, and often they are quite badly lit…lol,but many fun pictures too, that give me ideas. i like to mix several of them too…

paul marx, thanks… the teeth are just sculpted in, so eyes, head and teeth is all one mesh. glad you like the teeth so much, they were fun to do, and quickly without fiddling along for long

long time no post, not that i was lazy, but i worked in blender all the time…now i am back with a sculpt for that i used blender as well as zbrush. rendered with cycles, postwork in photoshop…
such a beautiful piece.love it.

this time, not zbrush, but i like share anyway,… i had the idea to present this sculpture as woodcarving, and worked over the sculpture so that it looks even without texture like a carving, and not so much a claysculpture… the wood is white maple…
