! I’m gonna draw and sculpt first and afterwards do some color palette tests. Hope I can get your advice from time to time when I start coloring :o !
Neozerahan: Zain, thanks again for the nice compliments!
About your questions:
If you think my methods would be of some use to you, please use them, I am glad about the fact that my posts can help you!
Most of my sketches where done with lead pencil on paper, some with pen and ink, sometimes I do a bit of level adjustment in PS to up the contrast.
I’m giving the impression of working methodically on this sculpt because I’m trying to find a good workflow and post some sort of journal of my findings/studies. There used to be a time when I got frustrated about my work, because I didn’t seem to be able to get the results I wanted fast enough. Now, I’m working with a different mindset: everyday a little bit, always trying to be pleased with the progress I made –even if it’s just very small progress-. This way, I always go to sleep happy. One step at a time, small projects, that can be taken to completion.
I started out as a traditional artist (studied traditional printmaking: copperplate engravings/etchings). But having a complete workshop in my laptop (ZBrush) is such a huge timesaver when studying, so, maybe that makes me a “Tradigital” artist… .
So, Zain, one step at a time… and try to finish what you started, even if it takes you 10 years!
