Yona: Cédric, thank you so much for keeping me on track and in the right mindset! You where so right! Yesterday and today I came up with some new characters just by doing what you said: instead of getting frustrated about not having enough time to draw/sculpt, I was thinking about how I should proceed when I get more time! Yeah, let’s hope it won’t be too long before the dust settles, but the great support at ZBC keeps me goin’ . My mind is filling up with new stuff!
“Did you teach yourself to do the research and layout your work in this way, or is it from the books that you have listed.” Yep, I did the research by myself: I always had the feeling that no one succeeded in giving me a good foundation in sculpting or drawing and I’m continually working hard on developing a system/structure that would give an artist a correct foundation upon which they can individually build and expand additional knowledge they acquire. I struggled for way too long… discovered ZBrush, Gnomonology, Anatomytools, etc way too late… . The books I listed are to be considered as pieces of the puzzle/ building blocks that I use while working with my system (= I feed them into the system). I hope this answer makes sense, sometimes difficult to find the right words in English…

This evening, I’m sculpting Axl’s boots, also, I finished another BG pencil sketch and then there’s some other stuff I’m workin’ on to go along with the new update pages (new characters and such). Yea that makes perfect sense. I’m doing the same for the same reasons, so being able to be more careful about what to feed into the system is always helpful and time saving.
Before it was no info or bad, now its just so much to choose from. Gnomon and ZBC have started an avalanche of amazing resources and info thats for sure.
Looking foward to seeing alot more of this project.

Our car’s still in repair, all furniture of our house’s ground floor is now gone, since we have to put in the new floors… . But! Meanwhile I’m using your suggested techniques in keeping the right mindset and thinking about the project’s development-this helps me to sculpt and draw every day, even if it’s just for 30 minutes. You have no idea how motivating it is to have your support, and knowing that other artists like yourself have to overcome those daily obstacles and life’s worries and do find the time to keep producing beatiful artwork! !
