Hey guys, I’ve been away from ZBC for far too long. I have more time now so I’ll start to share stuff again… This is just a quick Dynamesh sketch textured in Substance Painter.

Also, I have a cool tutorial in the making that will be ready soon and will be the first one posted in my new website that is almost finished… I’m very exited to share it with you!

…something abou it bugs me.
I like the pale color choice. Look forward to the new website and tutorial!

Here is a new illustration I’ve been working on for a new tutorial (more like an update or an additional technique to the Feathers in ZBrush tutorial)

All done in ZBrush, rendered with BPR and compositing in Photoshop. Hope you guys like it!

FeatherCoat is beautiful.I would love to see the work flow you use to get a ZBrush model through Substance and rendered in Marmoset. Especially for the nice result you achieved in Insectoid.:+1:

@SoDakZBrusher : Thanks mate, glad you like it. I’m not 100% comfortable with Substance Painter yet to make a tutorial, but I’m happy to share what I have learn so far, I’ll post a link here soon.

I was packing the resources for the new tutorial and decided to test the FeatherCoat illustration with some of the materials from the Comic tutorial, here is the experiment:

Love the feather coat illustration! I’ve had your guide to creating feathers in Zbrush on my harddisk for while, it’s really excellent (i wanted to use some of the techniques in my latest sculpt but chose to go a different route).

Your art is stunningly beautiful and your tutorials are brilliant !
Very well written and illustrated! Thanks a lot for this!

You are for me a source of inspiration!

Ciao,

Hey guys! today I’m really exited to share with you my new website. I’ve been working on it for a while now (part of the reason of my lack of posting), but now that is online I can get back to making ZBrush stuff!

The website is dedicated to all the people that have helped me over the years and to the amazing ZBrush community. In the website you’ll find everything that I’ve share (tutorials, ebooks, resources, etc.), new stuff that I’ve been working on and a lot more to come!

I would really appreciate if you get a chance to leave a comment or share it to get this new project started!

All the best guys! here is my new website that I made for you: www.zbrushguides.com

I can’t thank you enough for your generosity, Pablo! The best thing a person can do is to share his knowledge and experience, and you do so at not personal benefit. You, sir, are worthy of praise.

I really like your Dreadlocks Warrior render, in particular.

@boozy floozie: Thanks so much!
@Ylog: Cheers!
@TribunMaximus: Thank you very much! I’m glad you like it.
@Knacki: hahaha thanks mate! you comment is top notch! haha
@SKYWAYS128: Thanks for the kind comment! I appreciate it. I’m glad you liked the Warrior!

Thanks so much everyone again, for all the amazing feedback on the #ZBGs (ZBrushGuides.com)! and thanks to everyone sharing stuff to help other people!

If there is a link that seems broken, try again it again a bit later or let me know so I can fix it!

Also Here is the Introduction to Sculptris as I promised. It is really intended for beginners and people that want to get into digital sculpting. In the resources, there is a handy “Cheat Sheet” PDF that you can print and stick on a wall for quick reference.

Head over to the ZBrushGuides.com and get your copy! I hope you find it useful.

Cheers!

Hey guys, here is an update from a little project I’ve been working on. It has been mainly to learn Substance Painter and to get familiar with the Zbrush-to-Substance workflow. this is the posed low-poly version (i’ll post the renders with texture soon):

Also, on a separate note… there is a new tutorial on the ZBrushGuides.com about creating Low-Poly feathers using NanoMesh:

Hope you find it useful! Cheers.

I repeat myself, but … simply brilliant!

Mille grazie!

Of course you know, I am one of your biggest fans (that being probably strange coming from a 50 year old dude-:D). Seriously, I think your a great artist and a wonderful sharer of knowledge. You could not have posted your feathers tute at a better time. I made a Mayan character some time ago, but never got around to finishing him. But now, with just that feather tute, you have motivated me to finish him. Thanks a million Pablo. Best.
PS: And yes, I will be giving you props once I am done with him-

Great set of works.

Hey guys! Thank you all, I’m glad you are enjoying the recent tutorials.

I completely forgot to post this here but better late than never, just a few Marmoset renders of this project I was doing to learn the ZBrush-to-Substance Painter workflow.

Also, I’m working in a new quick tutorial about “Double action” brushes in ZBrush that I think you guys are going to find interesting. here is a preview of the effect of a single brush:
