wow, nice one man  really well done and thanks for sharing

Your tutorial looks to be fantastic! Thank you.

Amazing artist and artworks.

Hey Mr Pablander, love your artworks and Just wanted to chime in and say big thanks for these tutorials. Iv’e only read the WetClay tut so far, and really like the style and format of it. Brilliant.

About a month or so ago i was making a load of matcaps, no problem, but was making several wet variants via specular hotspots, and the list of matcaps became unwieldy, then I happened upon your WetClay Tut, it was a Godsend. No more baked in wet variations.
The fingerprints part was also brilliant, well, its all brilliant. Looking forward to reading these other tutorials which I’m sure are just as excellent as WetClay.
Again many big thanks for sharing your knowledge with everyone.

mark.

thank you soooo much man.your tutorials are awesome.keep up the great work.good luck.;)

Oh man thank you so much for putting those tutorials together. I definitely want to check the feather stuff! I’m just about to start a personal work with lots of feathers

Cool Pablo, I just paid for you ā€˜tutes’. The feathers one is going to be very useful for me as I finish an old model I never got around to well, finishing. Thanks a million. Best.

Thanks a lot for the feather tut. Looks very interesting.

Cheers!

Thank you for sharing the tutorials for free. I just need to DL them tonight.

Hey everyone! first off, thank you so much for all the emails and comments! I’m really happy to see that the Feather tutorial has been useful, that’s the point of sharing it!

Here is a tip as a little follow up to the tutorial… I made this feather using the ā€œorangeā€ method (fibremesh grown from mesh area) and then applied some polypaint.

You can draw the barbs using the Curve tube brush from the base mesh in the resources file. Once finished with the barbs, apply the ā€œyellowā€ (fibremesh) technique to those barbs for extra details!

I hope this helps you create another type of feather! thanks again for all the likes and shares.

Cheers!

Lovely technique. Thin barbs w/fibermesh. Looks great, and thank
you for explaining how you created this feather!

Thanks for sharing all of your tutorials Pablander, they’ve helped me so much, especially your BPR Single Pass render tutorial, it’s fantastic.

Love the page layouts, colour schemes, also how well you explain things :+1:

~ Cheers :]

Man, I got to tell you, you are among the best on the forum. The first thing is, you are highly skilled. So skilled that you feel free to share your wisdom. Not behind a pay wall (not that there is anything wrong with that. I mean, a person needs to get paid) but openly and freely, to all around the world. Your tutorials are so professionally compiled and easy to follow. Slick, but in the good way. I know first hand how time consuming putting together a tutorial can be. Thank you for both your talent and your knowledge. Well done, sir.

jan19: Not a problem! glad you liked them!

Bangers: Cheers! I’m really glad to hear that the tutorials have been useful!

carver: Thanks so much for the kind and very encouraging words! I really appreciate your comment!

An ancestor to the lost creatures.jpg

I started working on this ā€œmulti-eyeā€ project last week and it has been quite interesting, it seems like it could be a good starting point for the eye of any character. This quick video is a second test (still work in progress) of the eye variations, I did some updates from the first video I posted on my facebook page, so now it is possible to change the size of the iris as well as the pupil. I also added other stuff and fixed a few things… I reckon it should be ready to share very soon! stay tuned

This looks nothing short of excellent Pablo

The first peoper test using the ā€œcustomizable eyeā€ that I am working on. I tested it with this ā€œZompireā€ because I think this type of eyes would be the least used and wanted to make sure that they still look alright. The next model to test, would be more cartoonish and stylized… hopefully it will work.

Zompire copy.jpg

Rendered all in ZBrush and the compositing was done in Photohop. I actually did some paint-over the final image but the eyes are 98% straight from the render pass. Hope you guys like it!

Results are looking good!

Hey guys here is the second test for the Multi-Eye project. As I mentioned in my previous post, this model was going to be more cartoonish style to test the versatility of the eyes. I also rendered a few extra variants for the character’s eyes to show you how easy is to tweak this.

I don’t think this is worth a tutorial once you see how simple this technique is, so I’ll just share the resources when its ready. Then you guy can play around with it and let me know what you think.
