Todays doodle. Rendered in Zbrush and some post work in PS.
Just practicing my painting and rendering skills. Quite happy with the result i got from rendering in Zbrush.
Might also do a render in Keyshot tomorrow.

EDIT: Some minor stuff was really bothering me so i reuploaded :stuck_out_tongue:

Need some help. Anyone know how to get the SSS pass to render?
I have never had problems with it before but now for some reason i cant get it to render.

I must be missing something so any help on that would be appreciated.

You need to select it… http://docs.pixologic.com/user-guide/materials-lights-rendering/rendering/bpr/bpr-settings/

I tried doing that and read some tutorials on how to do it, to no avail.

Fixed it now tough. Had to export the Ztool to a new document and initialize Zbrush.

Probably some strange bug or something.

Playing around with the topology tool and panel loops. Got a bit sloppy towards the end and the hands are not that great. But i’m going to leave it here as it’s mostly meant as practise anyways.
Did not manage to get the textures in to Keyshot, but i might do a Zbrush render sometime soon.

Thanks Jutsu. Glad you mentioned the shapes. Spent the majority of the time trying to come up with something cool. Still got alot to learn but i’m moving forward i think :slight_smile:

great character and great job! what did you use for that mesh like pattern on the chest it looks great

Thanks man :slight_smile: for the mesh i did surface noise with an alpha -> mask by noise -> group masked -> crease -> mask polygroup -> inflate +3.

Yes, i actually got a texture of google of a metal mesh thingy, Tweaked it in photoshop (grayscale and play with levels) and used it as an alpha. Can’t remember exactly where i got it from though. But you could of course do this with any alpha you prefer :slight_smile:
