as it becomes a pleasure when you begin with anatomy, i try to work an horse one. will try poses, from well known statues, and also details, with the help of artists designs, like Bouchardon, that helped me for this beginning.
tried an update.

Salut
Excellent ! Keep up the good work bro !
Looking Great … Awesome choice for study…
ZBrush 4’s BPR renderer would really do your work justice. It’ll help a lot with the shadows and also clean up the jagged edges.
spirit! thanks. yes, this old school, from XVIIth or XVIIIth century is one of my favourite about anatomy rendering!
Hey White shadow! thanks. nice to see you here from new Tunisia!
Aurick : oh yes…i have to begin to learn this BPR…but the only thing i Know in rendering is “render” button, after having setted a sunlight!!
Well, I tryied some BPR settings…but really i think it’s over my strengths…well, rendering is an art…

I love this Thanks for posting.
Do you have wire of your horse you could post?
My Wife is an Equestrian Photographer and a life long enthusiast. I’ve been promising to do a horse for her and she keeps me in line with the anatomy. I’m getting ready to work on one so a look at others wires would be nice.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks to be there Blaine!
I’m not sure the wire view can really help. I’ve not worked on topology since I’ve imported from Blender the base mesh I’ve done. here it is!

Thank you. I learn the most viewing other peoples way of approaching things. Actually I’ve reached the point of making excuses just before I jump in and get it done. Mostly I’m thinking ahead to how to retopo it the best, in particular the mouth area. Thanks again.
you made me ask too this question: what would i try for face topo. i did this one. tried to save edges at the neck start.

well. as i’ve ever doe, i’m looking for the perfect women (who won’t? :D)
so, as i’ve another time been impressed by Frazetta girls, i’m trying to follow him. i rendered a test in Blender, but it would be cool to work a scene like for the horse.

Great work. Of course I like the Frazetta inspired girl.
I have a few crits. Hope you don’t mind.
The metal bits look like they have no thickness and would benefit from a feeling that the flesh is being displaced by them. Also, her proportions seam natural from the front but sheared in the side view.
Despite those, I enjoy your work and want to see more.
Nice work so far on the Frazetta girl. Is there anybody who does not like his women!?!?!
The calves look terribly wrong from the front though. It looks like you have the medial head of the gastrocnemius on the outside.
Cheers!
