haha i love the essence of the face, looking forward to see more from this, thank you for sharing
very cool! the fingers and lower eye"bags" really sell it
Just gets better and better! Bravo!
Cheers, David
This is getting beautiful Rick!!
canāt wait to see it finished
From the thumbnail I thought it was Patrick Stewart!
Then bam! Huge NOT Patrick Stewart face appears!
Great work!
Looking great
Very nice work Really like hands and the small hairs everywhere, makes a big difference. He looks happy
Awesome ⦠can it get any better?
Cheers, David
great expression in the eyes
WOW, the last image is stunning! TOP RAW!!
Wow, looks amazing Rick. One of the things I love is that unlike many cg artists you donāt overlight the eyes/sclera which is what often drives it into uncanny valley for me. But you avoid that, especially here on Schlitzie considering the set of his eyes.
Is the hair/stubble at this point Zbrush, Pshop, or a combo of both?
- Matt.
P.S. I did a quick/dodgy Pshop to see what heād look like if he was ānormalā. Very interesting how a slight deviation makes such an impact on a lifetime of being conditioned to a ānormalā human face.
thats awesome! so alive!
great subject
Thanks a lot guys,
mikala, I can totally see how you could think it was Patrick Stewart from the the thumbnail.
half vader the stubble and other hair is all fibermesh no PS
chalkman, hopefully i can make it better I still havenāt polypainted him .Iāll try and do that today.
Again thanks everyone for looking and the encouraging words.
Well I managed to find some time to poly paint Schlitzie and do some BPR renders.I think I will call him done for now though I would like to re do the eyebrows. My original plan was to take him into MODO for a final render but I have to say I am pretty happy with this BPR render. Iāll see how I feel about it later. Iām still curious to do a MODO render to compare the two.Again thanks for looking and for the support.
wow fantastic BPR , i really like itā¦which is the alchemy between lights/shadows/material settings would be great to understand them, in particular i like a lot the mouth and teethā¦just perfect - now i know BPR stands for Baker Professional Renderings ahh
That looks great, a tremendous amount of realism from a BPR render. Donāt know that a ray traced render would look any better. Great job!
