Announcing ZBrushCore

I paid my money, I can offer criticism as I see fit, I’m not obligated to keep quiet if I have concerns and/or complaints. Companies don’t grow or reassess decisions with people just grinning and yes-manning them, as well you know. No one can improve unless shortcomings are pointed out.

"and just btw: what the hell you want to import, what you can’t import?!?
wait a second… obj import… you can even use it as an “imm-brush"thing with dynamesh.
custom brushes are disabled… but if you are able to read, you could have known that before…”

Custom brushes, materials, that sort of thing, and there’s no way you could really think of object import on the same level of intuitive use of an IMM brush. I was aware of this, I think that it’s a glaring omission, not something I was surprised by.

maybe i got your message wrong… but it felt to me like you are only complaining…
if thats not true, i am sorry.
i think zbrushcore is the perfect application to get into sculpting. and thats, what it is for.

good luck with your criticism.

I enjoy working in ZBCore, but if you were to ask me if it’s worth 150? I’m not so sure, and my personal position, which is apparently not unique, is that in pursuit to cut out things and make ZB pro attractive, they cut out too much. The cost to upgrade doesn’t make sense to me either, why not just apply the whole cost of ZBCore instead of just 66%?

Again, I like doing what I can in ZBCore, I just want it to be the best it can be, and something I can easily recommend to others and I don’t feel it’s there yet, that’s all.

PS, For what it’s worth, probably shouldn’t fly off immediately trying to shut someone else down for saying something you don’t like.

Anyone bought the bundle? How do you register it?
So can I just buy the bundle and keep the tablet and give away the zbcore software?

There is a Key under a flap on the box, when registering the product it will require the KEY
after which you will be able to download the bundled software + serial number.

I’m beginning to see a lot more tutorials on ZbrushCore on the Internets. It seems plenty powerful enough to create great sculpts. I’m not sure if I’m allowed to link here, I’m sure the mods will take it down if I’m not, but here are some cool things I saw just in the last couple of days:

https://youtu.be/JDZTlZ4AI48<strike></strike>This showcases the Wacom ZbrushCore Bundle. But shows a pretty great sculpt made in ZBrushCore.

https://youtu.be/jFh4-WmOJms?list=PLkzopwqcFevbD6QZnhzROSyiaFUCZxPz3 This a playlist of 47 short videos for learning ZbrushCore from Michael Pavlovich. Thanks Michael!

https://goo.gl/wN8Dj9 This website ZBrush Guides has a section called Getting Started With ZBrushCore.

Anyway, we have a lot of great tutorials to train us, and many artists to inspire us to create.

Wait a minute, you can make IMMs for zbrush core? HOW?

Pablo Munoz has a very nice web site ‘ZBrushGuides’ with many free ebooks
and resources, well worth taking a look.

http://www.zbrushguides.com/about/

All the more reason why there should be a separate trial of ZBCore so noobs lik me can decide if there is any validity to comments like this…

Thanks for the guides, but I am also a Full Zbrush user just have a Core for home use and doodling. So I know about the site. I cant make my own IMMS in core at least there is no easy method (or any), try it, but no. It would be nice to be able to use that or zremesher or just a little bit of control over decimation process. But I am guessing that will not happen.

Hi, watching Joseph Drust’s ZBrushCorevideo at http://pixologic.com/zclassroom/lesson/conceptual-sculptinghe selects a head in the lightbox called HeadPlanes_256… is this available in the full ZBrush? As I can’t find it.
Thanks!

Ian

When ZBrushCore launches, you’ll see that SpotLight is open to the Project tab. The bottom left folder is Head Planes.

Thanks Jimbo!
How can I quote someone and reply to it?
That small icon is not working for me.

@ianjgrant: The headplanes projects are specific to ZBrushCore. It will be included in ZBrush 4R8.

I pre-purchased Zbrush Core. I have not heard anything about when it will be released. Have I missed something? The Facebook page seems silent on the issue. It’s been well over a month since the deal expired on 14th October. Please, Pixologic, could you give us some idea of how much longer we have to wait.

ZBrushCore was released on schedule. All pre-orders were sent the instructions for how to get it. If you did not receive your instructions, please submit a Support ticket at https://support.pixologic.com. Thanks!

Is it possible to sell a license if I bought ZbrushCore with Wacom 3d?

If you have not redeemed the CD code then yes, you could sell that. When the recipient redeems the code, the license will be in his/her name. If you have already redeemed the code then no, it would no longer be possible.

I can’t find the answer which was probably moved.
Can the software in the bundle be given away or sold to somebody else?

So, I have a code for software bundle with ZBrushCore from my Wacom Intuos 3d and I would be happy to sell one. PM are welcome.

Thanks!I just checked the bundle in the shop. Its a medium size wacom. Don’t like those I like the smaller one. Hehe. Its easy to get tired using them.Hope pixo and wacom introduce a smaller bundle.

they won’t, I suppose. so, you’ll need to buy ZbrushCore from Pixologic or from someone who bought Wacom and didn’t use ZbrushCore. from me, for example =)
