Im guessing windows 64 bit would enhance the Zbrush experience significantly! Anyone have any knowledge on this?

just… unbelievable…

I am running Vista 64 with the 64 bit ZB and I can tell you it makes a difference.

it loads in a quater of the time, and handles higher polycount better, imoa.

DO NOT use windows xp 64!! no drivers are supported and i couldnt even get zbrush installed, get vista 64!

Jason Belec- Your right acknowledging the speed at which its done makes it that much more impressive.

Alexleia- Curious how large do you typically work your concept images? Also are you using cold illustration board or something comparable? You seem to be able to get rich value without overworking the material.

At last a creat Art button. Thanks for all your hard work. You must have a great team.

I’m happy you posted this one on the first of march and not one month later…FANTASTIC!!!

…I can’t wait…

Angelo

I think im going to cry!! This is amazing!!! Ive been waiting for this momment for a year!!! Yoohoooo

A year…lol.
No offense but its been 2 i think for me…maybe almost three…
Not sure…Lost track of ZTime.

maybe a year ago, but today its not bad at all. the only thing that is missing now is just proper support of quicktime, and itunes.

everything else works for me. and yes zbrush 3 works awesome on x64.

Alexia your skills are truely disturbing and I admit awe inspiring. I honestly don’t know if I could get that fast. :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

This is great news. Thank you for this stupendous upgrade–and more importantly, thank you for making it available AFTER finals.

I don’t know, I might stick with ZB2 this doesn’t look that exciting…

Who am I trying to kid? this looks bloomin fantastic

Just wondering but if I decide to change my ZBrush 2 License to a PC so I can make use of this fantastic upgrade and then later on when the Mac version is finally out and working well - can I then change my license back to the Mac?

The image that Ofer posted…
Would it be at all possible to get a nice tasty big one posted here.
If it were me…I would make a wallpaper of it at several different sizes for the community. I say this because I, for one, would love looking at it everyday until 05-15…dreaming, hoping, and just plain getting excited.
Besides, I think you already know…THAT MATERIAL! Oh sexy Z!

Spanx!

I think I’ve seen this asked elsewhere and I’m trying to figure out why it would be necessary in ZB3 given it’s ability to pose meshes.

Can anyone think of an example where it might be handy? Perhaps if you wanted to sculpt on a model that has already been posed?

But then I’m hoping that the posing is a ‘non-destructive’ morph so you can sculpt your original, unposed model and have these changes reflected in the posed one.

The non-destructive thing I am not sure about with the new Z. If it is, then I will probably have a heart attack. But if it isn’t, then there is an excellent reason to have asymmetrical modeling (something that I saw in MB and would kill to have in Z3).

Obviously I’m guessing here, but I reckon it will be able to do that.
It would get very tiresome if it didn’t with all this new Transpose stuff and Posing etc. It’s got me wondering now; if you can you save your Transposes/Poses as presets, that would be great.

Yes, its non-destructive. You will be able to get into and out of pose quickly and, please, no heart attacks!
