for me its is too symmetrical at the moment.
Meats Meiers works the same way (have his DVD).
Buy it, it will help anyone starting or advanced with Zbrush.
First symmetry than assymetry, or you will have a hell to work on the texturing afterwoods, because you will end up doing a double job for both halfs of the model. A very common strategy in this industry.
Let me first thanks everyone who was posting here.
Based on the fact that I am now working on a TWO-MAN PROJECT, I feel obliged giving my best and all my free time into this project, especially when people depend on me.
My main goal was never to get on popularity, but getting crucial insides into this new technique. And although my both models have yet to be finished, I will go back into anonymity and just concentrate on finishing this and many more characters, models and backgrounds for this animation to come.
I don’t think Zbrush is difficult, and so I believe by saying this Zbrush achieved its goal in making what is difficult - easy for the majority. I see a bright future for Zbrush as long as they keep it simple.
But I will keep an eye on your work and will post in a thread of a fellow artist who needs special support or is overlooked.
Thanks and best luck to you all and good luck for each of your projects
Suzana Visser
fact that my recently finished animation is accepted by one of the major festivals in California, and this is just the beginning.
Thanks.
This is looking good. I would love to see the wireframe/polyframe when you are done with the animation. Looks promising already. Good luck, not that I think you need it.
Vivien: Wenna is also one of the gals around here
Enjoy your project! It is looking and sounding pretty darn involved and am glad ya got some help with it now!
I agree with Tveyes…it’s looking very intriguing and more so each time ya post. I hope ya can share the animation when you are done because my curiousity grows with each post.
If it’s just for fun…eg a learning project …remember that part of it when ya run into those fun little bumps along the way!!
and please update us once in a grand while!
Dear aminute and Tveyes
Sorry that I could not respond sooner.
I appriciate very much such nice support, and I wish you all the best.
I will stay with this forum, on the contrary, I will stay around for at least as long I am working on this animation. But I will have to concentrate on the animation, rather than posting artwork.
aminute - you are very kind. There is another reason why I am doing this animation, but I will explain this another time, when I post a bit more.
I know what you are talking about when you are saying - bumps.
Solving problems is all what animation is about.
Thanks again.
This is just to keep you informed.
I just hand painted the color layer, and will overgo to painting sides
of the face and as well as bump and specular maps.
You already know it, but here again
- this is my first try on everything, no time for repetitions.
Hopefully I’ll be finished with the face by Sunday.
Than the rest of the body.
…than displ. map setup/optimizing.
…than playing with rendering.
Sorry for the small render, but this is anyway an unfinished model,
and just for testing out the color map.
Good night.
NO prespective view.

WOW Suzana. That is excellent. Wonderful texturing and modeling.
very nice face colours!!
Looks cool. I’m waiting in suspense for the animation
I agree with vlad74, this last one is excelent !!
this work is getting better and better
I can’t believe this thread started four weeks ago. Just saw it today. The model of the body is beautifully done. That head though… It’s something I immediately thought would make an amazing cast. Impressive work. I look forward to the completion of your project.
This is great work
I look foward to seeing the animation! Could you post the steps for the transfer to maya?.. it may seem simple to some - but I’m pulling my chest hair out trying to figure this out. (displacement maps, materials, textures) (I allready pulled all my scalp hair out trying to learn 3d modeling and rigging…)
Happy rigging & texturing
Looking beautiful! Keep them coming! The warm / cool contrast of the colors is really nice. Very realistic.

Dear ryankingslien dzip filament9 Drummer Cral pinkarman and vlad74
I am trying to find good ways how to do something, I really don’t know - what I know. I liked 3DMax for modeling. I am into polygonal/subD modeling, but now I see ZB has to offer on top of it. I will post as much settings as possible, but just when I am apsolutaly sure it really functions, and I am happy with my results, so I can be sure I don’t mess up your works.
very impressive work…love the colour play
Dear Stephan
Thank you very much for your kind words.
Good luck.
I am right in the middle of fine texturing.
I will continue adding soft foldings around the mouth and chin, if it doesn’t change the face to much. Some few arteries, and than back to the body. Color map is also done, but for now just this. Let me thank each of you for the great support. It is a great honor being here.
everything is just awesome…
i’m very new to zbrushing, but everything i see in this forum is just WOW
it inspires me alot to see these models and i try to work as much as i can to get to such high level…
i wish you all the best and can’t wait for the finished product
