A Gift From Pixologic

very cool!

A very cool App. Fun to play with. The interface is really clean and easy to use.

Quite user friendly app with snazzy looking interface
I maybe doing something wrong, but when I import a OBJ mesh of my own, the Voxels doesn’t work. And after that even when i restart the app the default sphere doest use Voxels. Seems like its turned off or something. I have to pretty much reinstall the sculptris zip folder again.
Am i doing something wrong or there is an option to turn on the imported obj into voxels?
Looking forward to integeration with ZB.

At the risk of sounding whiney…will Sculptris be made available for the Mac? I cannot get it to run in a virtual machine.

Great I love gifts, so last night I decided to turn a “white elephant” into some use and was surprised at the simplicity. I could sculpt away with speed and easy on my old system…

I will now re-topo and do the magic in ZBrush…

BAD MOON RISING - CCR

was listing to the song while playing with my gift…

Thanks PIX…

That’s an awesome moon Ziggy!

I love this. I worked on the head some more, and added an upper body armore and the lower torso with some spheres.

Really like Sculptris. Have been using it from the beginning, it’s really designed for simplicity and speed.

Since this is an alpha. I’d like to make a couple of requests for the final.

  1. Interface tweaks. (see attachment. note: these were designed by someone on the beta) I really like the simplicity of the design that still keeps the tools accessible.
  2. Some way to re-topologize a mesh into a quad friendly one. And afterwards still be able to paint and do non-tessellating sculpting.
  3. Have the option to disable the sculpting with tessellation and just deform the mesh. Preferably with a shortcut key press and a check box. One for quick tweaks without adding polys and one for longer periods of tweaking.

Probably will add a thread in the Sculptris for feature requests, but just wanted to point out a few here and say thanks for taking Sculptris into custody, I’m sure it will be a beneficial relationship for everyone involved.

Turn the detail slider all the way down, or press ‘Q’ to toggle detail off.

love this software, being playing around with it a lot this weekend
really enjoy the no-nonsense sculpting with it

a few things I’ve made so far

zbrush needs some serious streamlining, dump all the 2.5d rubbish, and bring in a cleaner ui and proper 3d workspace

I knew about the detail slider. Just seemed inefficient. Didn’t know about the Q toggle though! Thanks for that. :+1:

Congratulations are dure for Thomas a Pixologic.

Very exciting times ahead indeed.

Paul.

Did you see this one coming, Mr. FreeBees?

Hello there,
I can dream, can’t I?

Since there is no mac version yet - write the mac version in cocoa/64bit.
Code it to understand multicore/hyperthreading (or whatever its called).

I wonder what Andrew (3DCoat) thinks of this addition to Zbrush.

Nichod Oh God!! So evil joke! When I first look I think all the feature you paint is already implemented ))

I don´t have that resurface tools !! jaja

I’ve been going back and forth between Z and Sculptris, and i must say they are made for each other! Can’t wait to see their kid! : P

Hey hey hey! Sculptris is NOT “a little appetizer ‘goodie’” it is sweet cherry pie on my table.

What a cool program

It’s fun to use, great work!

And on my Mac-table, there’s nothing. Glad some people are able to make use of this “gift.”
