<i>P.S. - The Score is also something I generated from various sound
effects, stock instruments, vocals, and ambient noises. It has been a score I have been
holding onto for a little while. Waiting for the right time to release it.
Figured I would test it in this video.

Nice one Mahilus!

Keep on pushing ZSketch forward, I support you all the way!

first off- very nice techniques, i liked how u put the mouth on the first zsphere before u added more. i have a few questions- 1. what screen recording software did you use? 2. what software did you use to make all those video effects (they had me cracking up… trying to make videos more epic, they look really good though— nice music too). Mahlikus The Black sounds like the name of a really powerful evil wizard. why are they called ‘zskiffs’?

The screen recording software I use is by Small Videosoft called Freez Screen Video Capture. It’s free! For video editing and score creation/editing, I use Imageline’s FL Studio, and Sony Vegas Pro. For video effects, motion graphics and compositing, I use Adobe After Effects, Video Copilot, and Maxon’s Cinema 4D.

Yeah, it is overdone but that is the point actually. Remember, I use these videos for two reasons. To share here as well as with a video editing community and training for students on how to achieve simple, yet dynamic and powerful video composites. See, once the initial audio/video structre is made, the raw footage can be replaced with anything, Movie Teaser/Trailer footage, Dynamic Advertising, and even things like wedding videos and sports highlights. So don't mind the simple ZSkiff video...it will be replaced with a Sci-Fi teaser (CG animation) for SyFy. Can't say much more. As for zskiffs, well its a long story...suffice it to say that it is easier to say and faster to type then sketch zspheres (we gray ghosts called ZSpheres <i>'Zifs</i>' back in the 1.55b days). Hope that helps. Cheers. P.S. - Oh yeah, Mahlikus The Black was born, in part, from the Raymond E. Feist character, <i>'Macros The Black'</i> (who was the saga's most powerful Magician) and the amalgamation of my initials, <i>'MAH' </i>and the name '<i>Malik' </i>which is Arabic for <i>'King' </i>the added ..us, is to make it sound more ancient latin. Sooo....lol...Finally, Mahlikus The Black is a fictional character in a series of short stories I have developed for over 13 years now. This concludes this posts lesson on everything BUT ZBrush..lol.

MTB, i downloaded your newest video but for some reason its all screwed up, and in VLC it crashes. Either its the video or my codecs are not up to date, but it’s been a very long time since i’ve had any sort of video problems on my PC.
The streaming works fine.

Thanks Spaceboy…I’ll check it out.;):+1:
(I am using VLC 1.0.1)

okay the video was really great, i loved the blurring and shaking, way to spice it up.
it seems like you could’ve made an adaptive skin right from the start with the normal zifs and just clay brushed it within half the time, this is where zkifs have me wondering sometimes, for some things they are great but others i’m not so sure. i am glad that we have them though.
do you remember way back when ken brilliant, i think, used to make heads and stuff using normal zspheres and unified skinning the same way. strange how its come full circle.

hehehe thank you very much for the response, it seems we have some things in common… for example konjo kothar vignar (kothar vignar= ash demon in draconian) is the name of the main character of a series of rpg videogames that i am currently starting a studio to make.
i am also very interested in video effects/ compositing 3d over footage, all that good stuff.
im overseeing a webdesign company, and its so fun to show off zsphere videos to the programmers, i would love to figure out how to put these effects on my vids. its like a videogame boss fight with the music, it makes people want to watch it longer because it makes you wait for a climax. im going to download this free screen recorder right now! thanks again, Mahlikus The Black Magician

Nice.

Yeah, I am the only Ninja-Wizard in the world!...Wish I knew Karate...THEN I would be unstoppable....LOL. ;):+1:

I know what you mean. Only two things matter really, the artist workflow of choice and the end result. That is what makes Z so wonderful: It’s non-linear freedom of use and exploration to take one’s fantasies and ideas and transform them into a digital reality without the technical block to do so.

As for the old days, one of my favorites and one of the things that make me very nostalgic is the Ken Brilliant Alien Head Zscript.

A screenshot of the above track ‘Into Death’s Trap’ set into its layerd state.
The top channel was first created using 5 layers and then rendered flat to
splice and extend the song.

For those who are curious…

Woah! I love this! Not only am i learning sketch spheres, but also a little about video compositing! nice!

Well yeah! There is more to the world than Z! gasp
Yeah I said it! There is ZBrush and then there are programs that I allow ZBrush to help make look better…lol. ;):+1:
