This is just so lame and unusable. All this scrolling and still no oversight. Who thought this garbage up? Sack them now.
Bring back the old trusted and useable forum and forget trying to be cute.
Yeah, I gotta agree with the other comments here. I think about the only things I really like are the ability to follow someone and tag favorites. There are a few other good things, but they are severely overwhelmed by the bigger issues that have already been pointed out.
Is this an actual post?
How did you do this post? Its got no title, no picture and pictures are apparently required for the creation of tiles for some reason… Its not visible…
Im glad you like it however, I think you offset my near total dislike of it. Seriously, SOMEONE has to offset my crankiness!
oooooh!
holy crap I had no idea that was in here!
its worse than I thought, ignore that post above, I couldn’t see where it was
Thank you for your feedback!
We are adding new features to ZBC in order to increase the usability, accessibility and the enjoyment of all the fantastic artwork that is presented here in ZBrushCentral. The new ZBSee-view is not yet fully integrated into ZBC and the work is still in progress. In a short while a Navigation bar will be activated and it will allow you to switch from Classic-view to ZBSee-view at will, allowing you to enjoy the best of both views!
Oh that switching is great news, thanks!
As a matter of fact:
Due to this concept I already found tons of work I would never have seen because it would have been lost in Zbrush Main eternity. Seeing ones artist work hidden in several threads have been never easier. It’s very impressive to get an overview of all this exciting works posted here.
This is very, very good. Thanks.
Other things are a bit confusing, but hey, it’s the first day online!
I am sure there will be a lot new functions to discover, some things maybe return back, because they were good, but overall it’s a big step.
I am thrilled to follow future progress and I am sure finally almost everyone won’t miss the old version at all.
Now let’s go over to the Question and Troubleshooting Section to get our questions cleared, and participate to make it a new, even much better home

THAT is good news!
Some additional feedback from myself:
I like all the thumbnails on the Main Forum page. I feel like this does result in my discovering more work from other people somehow, but I don’t like having to scroll so much. I would prefer to see only basic info in addition to the thumbnail itself, such as the number of Favorites and followers, a link to the thread gallery and when it was updated, but no comments so as to reduce how much screen space each thumbnail occupies.
I really like being able to choose favorites, but - I hate that I can only favorite a posting. I want to be able to favorite specific images in addition to a posting (and full thread’s please).
I like seeing images scaled to fit within the forum formatting and that we can click on them to see them expanded to the maximum allowable size on our monitor, but when viewing them at full monitor size we should have lightbox-like next and previous buttons to be able to easily navigate through all images in the post, and an option to view them at actual full size (such as when the full-size image is larger than the monitor can accomodate). On my own website I’ve implemented a viewer that gives the kind of functionality I would like to see here (save for one hickup), including thumbnails in the full size image view that make navigating there still easier. Go to the following link and click on an image to see what I mean: http://fbbportfolio.com/2009/3DModTex_Dinotopia-CornerGuardian.php
@Knacki
100% right, the more I browses, the more I like it, I’m discovering images I had never seen before:D
LOVE this new layout:lol:
Since ZBC is in the middle of an overhaul I’d like to suggest a larger conceptual change to it’s organization:
Personally I would like to conceive of different threads as different projects. Some people already leverage the current format in that way by starting a new thread for each new project, but there are a number of things lacking that would make that approach much more powerful.
For example:
I’d like to have my own home-page, under which anyone can view all of the projects (threads) that I have started, and from which I can manage those projects. On this home page a user could sort my projects based on parameters such as start dates and activity, and I could categorize them (art projects, asking for help, tutorials etc), and control display order.
Within each project I would like to be able to view the project’s activity in chronological order just like a regular forum (facilitating an evolving conversation among participants), but alongside that I’d like to be able to selectively display posts and images according to customizable categories such as final renders, wireframes, screengrabs, turntables etc. When I make changes to these sections, my changes would automatically be added as a new post in the forum view, maintaining it’s relevance as an accurate chronological record of activity. These various sections could be made accessible via a tabbed interface.
I’m sure this idea could be expanded upon. I’d be interested in hearing what other people think of it.
Thanks for the option to switch to classic view!
Just woke up to it and really appreciate it, so cool for you as a company to be listening!
The new system definitely has its strengths too.
Edit: and I just realized that ctrl-clicking an image in ZBSee opens a new tab in traditional view.
There you can call up the User Gallery.
Really awesome, best of both worlds.
Thanks for switch option:). Now i read threads in classic and browse for images in ZBSee, great:)
Yes, thanks for giving us the option to use the best of both worlds.
As others have already pointed out, ZBSee allows for easier discovery of new work, even if we have to scroll more. That’s a good thing. Although I notice multiple postings of similar images of the same work clumped together, am worried about some clueless artist spamming the feed.
. . . . .
In fact, I notice now that clicking on an image in the feed opens a new tab with the classic thread view, which I dare say is exactly the hybrid solution we needed! On the one hand the feed facilitates looking at new work (and looks nice), but on the other hand, the old thread view keeps the chronology and conversations intact. Which is crucial!
Not to mention that other artwork in a thread is no longer hidden behind a single image. So long story short, well done, you’re moving in a good direction, don’t lose sight of what’s important.
I’d like to have the ability to delete my old images. Not having that control over my images, discourages me from uploading new images.
just noticed that if I reply to my sketchbook using the first page, instead of page 80 in my case, the first post also gets highlighted on the front page of the forum, dunno if it was a one time thing.
This new format is great. I always felt I was missing out on a lot of great work in the previous version. Now I see that I have. Thanks for the update. Now I’ll be wasting even more time
After another day with the new interface, I wanted to give more props than I did at first.
I’m sure that some form of user gallery and recently uploaded order will be implemented over time, till then there is classic. So no complaints at all, to the contrary, it really leads to a new dynamic and being more engaged.

Yes (!), this would have been very nice. Still ,thanks for option to choose. Awesome!
yey it is released saw it on the top row gallery but was not accessible yet.
