Zbrush Material "baking"

Hi, is it possible to export the Material (Metall) to another application and keep the material? Thanks!

It should be noted that either method wont give you the same material in the end. You’ll wind up with a static texture, which 99% of the time will lose its luster. If you are looking to imitate the look that you get in zbrush, you’ll need to


  1. Apply the matcap to a sphere
  2. Frame the sphere in the document (a square resolution might help)
  3. Export the document and use the result as a texture on the equivilant litsphere/grayball shader in the other program
