i don’t know why i’ve developed a schoolboy favouritism for zbrush - but i really hope it kicks mudboxx’s balls
Got it working, needed to have latest version of Quick time. Silly me.
Awsome features. I especialy like being able to use alphas with the mesh extraction. Simply mavalis daling.
Can’t wait.
Some reason neither real player no quicktime is letting me view the movies. Is this using a special codec of some kind?
Download the last version of quicktime
And achieve what? How is that related to both ZB2.5 or a Linux port that you quoted? If your intent was to help me play the movies on the first post, I can play the movies fine thankyou =]
Some have suggested that the mac version of zbrush 2 has already a perp. camera, but as far as i know (although i dont have the mac version) once you enter the perp. mode you don
t have the option to sculpt…beside some mac users have said that it is not a real perpective camera.
-so…my question will Zbrush 2.5 will have a perp. camera for the pc version just like the mac version of Z2 has?..
You said perpective editing…so i imagin that you can sculpt while you are in the perpective mode…GREAT …
-since some has suggested that the mac version has not a real perp. camera…would this one of z2.5 be a real perp. camera?..
-would it have the option to control the FOV?
THANKS…Z2.5…looks fantastic…congratulations

O my…
This all sounds and looks so exciting!! I can’t control 2 million poly’s yet, and now I read I can make 22 million?!! Live projectionmaster? That would be so awesome! I can bear some more waiting if it’s going to be THAT good.
Also it’s great that Pixologic keeps developing the community aspect of Zbrush, one of its biggest virtues I think. Something like ZCasting will help everyone learning from one another which is good for every user.
It’s also very kind to make these days exciting for everyone back home,
and I can’t wait for the next videos.
Zbrush is the best piece of software I ever bought, it wasn’t very expensive, it can do so many things that it boggles my mind, it’s community is cool, artistic and helpful, and we get the upgrade for free!!
So: thanks ever so much Ryan, Pixologic and everyone on this forum. After only half a year of Zbrushing I’m a lifelong fan!

Ya! Does anyone have any idea when it (2.5) could or will be released? Im so excited!
I am constantly blown away by the innovations Pixologic and the community displays. Every time I see a new awesome plugin or technique somebody made to help the process, it’s like Christmas. Getting the same feeling now…
BTW, yolao,
I use it on a Mac and yes, you can sculpt while the Persp mode. I didn’t realize that pc’s didn’t have that option. But I don’t use the option that often anyway.
we all waiting and hope for it, too
Its so hard.
It cost 10 Years of my life…
I think, if the release come not at the siggraph (1year after publish the news of 2.5), pixologic will not promise a new date for V2.5.
Then we will wait again without a idea…
But we all hope in the next 2 days Pixologic will get interest of all 3D-user and press with release of the update
Glad to hear the previous features are still in. Rock on.
Well done for you hard work in this update and thanks for these great vids.
Even without the update this has to be the most used and exciting peice of software iv perchased.
Would be great to see some added rendering features and maybe polygon edge point and face editing with a transform tool. This would mean your have complete control over edge flow. Also to texturing with symmetry:D
If cleaner meshed are made from zsphears id be well chufed.
(Q)
As multi objects are now alowed in the same 3d space, does it mean I can rotate, scale individual objects independant that belong to the same tool?
If projection master is still there in v2.5 will the bad deformations that happen now be fixed?
I realy cant imagine that this update will be in 2007, not when everyone is getting all hyped up again like last year? Still great to see things are moving forward.
Quick question, maybe already answered but will Alex’s presentation be available online afterwards at some point?
Would be really cool to see it.
Unreal. Thanks for the updates, Ryan!
thanks for the info.
I think I am hyperventilating over the new subtools and mesh extraction.
The important question is WHEN?
I wanna guess on a approx release for 2.5 and i’ll be guessing about one month after Siggraph as they’re probably showing off one of some kinda halfway Release Candidate version there. But guessing like this will obviously mean i’m most likely very wrong however it feels a bit like this when seeing the demovideos and the excitement in their posts…
Note, i’m often known to be wrong. So don’t quote me on this

yes please… when
another couple of questions…please
-so, you still have the geometry meshes as tools in Z2.5…right?..so will this mean that you still be rotating the object instead of a camera?..so it will still not be a REAL 3d enviroment in zbrush 2.5?
-are you goin to release zbrush 2.5 this year?..or it will be until 2007?
thanks
