Really!? Excellent!
WOWOWOWOWOW. GREAAAAAAAT. Thank you very much guys. Thats amazing news.
Been really excited about the ability to pose imported objs since the first teaser movie. Now it’s almost here. Too cool.
I’ve got one question : Does the symetry scupting works anymore with podes models ?
I just had it confirmed via email mate as I want to transfer my licence over, “We are planning for 2.5 to be available with a Universal Binary build, but I don’t know how soon that will be.”…
Thank you to everyone that helps bring such wonders into being.
I’ve been troubled in the Z garden of late, affronted by discourteous neighbours hurling stinking gobs of industrial goo over the lawns and borders. I took a peep over the fence and they’ve got all manner of vicious looking contraptions and this great ugly pile of Mud which seems to pleas…
They’re Orcs! Orcs next door!!
I wonder how they’ll like the taste of this new brew.
Welcome to beyond the comfort zone.
Well this defantly changes the pipeline. Wow man you know just Wow. lol
64 Bit now if you make a Linux version then you will have really made my day.
Cheers,

ZBrush 2.5 … Thinking outside the Box!
outside the Box? There is no more box with zb!!! LOL:D Mudbox should just stay with it’s box. They ain’t got notthin’ on zb.
This is just what I really need the power of Projection Master in full 3D and multimillion poly and well, EVERYTHING that comes with zb 2.5. They should call it zb 3!!
Z2.5 and Maya 8!!!
I propose to move x’mas to august! Ka-Chow!!!
it’s just that… when’s z2.5 will be available for d/l?
Cool
The new features are very interesting …
A thought just occured.
How’s about a 64 bit zbrush? How’d that go?
Just wanted to ask the same thing - Can you give us at least somewhat of a release date, Ryan? Still 2006, or will it slip to 2007?
The new features look really neat - will be a lot easier to compose models compared to 2.0! Perspective… ahh, great as well. Hope there are also options for the camera, so we can change FOVs, etc. Neat, guess it’ll be quite a feature war between Mud and Z!
ZBrush is optimized for 32 bit systems as well as 64 bit systems
It looks like it… optimized for 64 bit systems it says so if it’s optimizited it should be compiled 64 bit
Can it take advantage of dualcore cpus?
Sounds great
Like last year
The Ideas are fantastic…
I hope we get the features of last year too.
Maybe we get the new ZBrush Features with this Siggraph
i wonder what additional features they will add to ZBrush 2.5 until siggraph 2007 !?
so … when?
Some reason neither real player no quicktime is letting me view the movies. Is this using a special codec of some kind?
I’m hopeful for a Linux version.
Hm, it seems they neatly avoided mentioning a release date. I wonder if we’ll have the whole delay shemozzle from last SIGGRAPH O_o
Read the first post again…
“The new ZBrush is optimized for 32 bit systems as well as 64 bit systems, taking full advantage of the processing power, multiple CPUs and available RAM.”
I have a question, has the ZB renderer had any tweaks, like raytracing or anything similar???
Excellent news, thanks for the info!
