Mesh Projection is Bloody brillant! One more killer feature!
Thanks for the video Ryan.
A short while ago (2:04) I was not sure what the term ‘sadist’ realy means…

Great new video, and that’s a very useful tool. Yay! exciting days now.
Thanks for the excellent video!

Im with Lemonado all the way on this subject…
Artist-Centric hmmm?
The concept is an admirable and worthly goal for Pixolgic to attempt, and it seems that if it “can” be done, they are prob the ones that “will” do it.
basicly it seems the holy grail of modeling/workflow IMO,
pure focus on “creation” rather than “construction”.
it should “rock the boat” of standard methodologies pretty hard methinks.
“Kudos” out to the Pixologic crew!
and…now…how about a release date hmmmmm?
new tool looks great. I am most excited about that now.
can you share with us what the computer specs are of the model shown? the comp seems to lag a little like it cant take the file size.
diety - Camtasia slows my system down. Its a laptop.

Guys, i am trust in u. I just can’t wait new version.

Let’s swap Laptops Ryan… Mine is faster
Lemo
YOU are making my life easier and i thank you for it Zbrush…
thank you…
Seems like someone neglected to read through the past 460 posts to figure that out on their own… the upgrade is about $6,000. LOL. No, Just kidding, really, its free.
Forgive me if this has been answered already Ryan. I believe I have read every post in this thread but it is easy to miss one or two.
You mentioned that all previously stated updates to zbrush would still be in zbrush 2.5 such as real time perspective view port with perspective modeling. Yet I don’t believe I have seen perspective on any of these new videos. Most apparent is this latest one. Come to think of it I don’t believe I have seen the perspective modeling demoed in any video, anywhere. Can you shed some light on to why that is?
Thank you for your time.
Mesh Projection is my favorite new feature. I was wishing for something like this but wasn’t sure how it would be implemented. Pixologic found the way! Thank you so much for your brilliance and understanding of artist’s needs =)
good question --E–
i would also like to know if there were any changes done to rendering/materials/lights(positioning), maybe a working perspective on the viewport when placing tools? Not that i´d be not completely pleased with the mentioned features  but especially that perspectiv-issue would be a great goodie for illustrators…
hey ryan i to would also like to know if you made the rendering better along with what differences have been made to material and light settings is it any faster at all when zbrush 2.5 comes to rendering???
Thanks Ryan. this video was very clear and direct on this new feature and within such a small space of video time.
To beable to sculpt regardless of how loose the topology is and project all details onto a perfect new model with good topology is simply fantastic, but to actualy make that perfect topology all within zbrush itself realy holds its own
To rework a old model made from box modling that lacks the edge flow on the head rejoin to have a perfect model.
Mesh Projection
Few words speak volumes, Ryan
Oooh… nice! It will be great to have such control over the flow. Being able to change flow if needed will be great for learning how flow works I guess. Can’t wait! small_orange_diamond
I think I can appreciate how few people in the whole history of the planet could (or would) ever have trained themselves to the point of being able to conceptualise the solution permitting mesh projection.
let alone implement it…
first…
in concert with so many other features…
for free…
The consistent love, effort and skill required on the part of the developer(s) spells out a contribution to art and the artistic community that I think goes some way beyond anything the world has seen before. ZBrush is an inspiration, being anywhere near it fills me with joy, I do not understand those that say that ZBrush is merely a tool.
Now that’s what you call an innovation!! Now I can make the shape without worrying about the wireframe.
The future is here … and it’s ZBrush at the front door … Hello
ZBrush never ceased to amaze me. It’s such a wonderful app that opens up so much possiblities!!
