How come everyone else is waiting for emails and I can’t even by the thing (249 bundle). I tried everything. I when to keyshot.com selected the bundle, sends me back to zbrush.com nothing. Is there something I am missing??
Please take my money!!!

Just put the correct bridge and Keyshot into the shopping cart - the price will correct down to $249.
I can’t put anything in the cart…
Oh I see. I need to add the 200 keyshot and then add the 149 bridge got it. Thank you.
There is no package: you have to add the bridge ($149) first and then Keyshot ($200). The store sees this and corrects the price down to $249.
Anyone else??? Anyone else waiting for the Keyshor for Z and Bridge emails? We are supposed to receive a second email but I haven’t received even the first one!
I am not the only one, so it appears this issue might need more attention than just individual support tickets…
same here for me Dave.
I ordered last night after servers unclogged and still have not received any emails.
I put in a ticket and am awaiting a reply, I imagine it will take some time as this was a big release.
Installed and seeing lots of RAM!!! Thank you Pixologic!!!
too bad this wasn’t made clear yesterday…about loading the two into the cart. I bought just the $200 part and now have to wait along with the rest who goofed this process also.
No e-mails for the Keyshot Z & Bridge here either. Put in a support ticket but no response, yet.
At first I thought mine was an issue due to some buggy automated database management related to my particular order, as I also placed in it a merchandising item and my receipt only shows this particular item’s delivery method (the heading of the receipt doesn’t say Digital Download Delivery or whatever), but I see it might not be the case, as some more of you guys are returning the same issue…
Anyway, I’m still on my date with this gorgeous (Z)Model(er) and her girlfriends Arry and Nany… if you know who I mean.
It was made clear… KeyShot for ZBrush is a separate product in the Pixologic store. It does NOT include the ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge. To receive the discounted bundle price of $249 for both the ZBrush to KeyShot Bridge and KeyShot for ZBrush you must add BOTH products to your shopping cart in the store. You will then see the discounted price of USD 249 when you check out.
I don’t want to kick a man when he’s down. I know it’s a very frustrating situation for you. But this was explicitly stated on the front page announcement since the beginning yesterday, and people in this very thread were trying to correct people on it until they were blue in the face:
I hope you get your problem sorted quickly though. I hate that people are making this mistake and having their fun delayed.
Activating by phone (since my editing rig isn’t online). Recording says “phone activation is not available at this time… for all issues please submit a support ticket.” I submitted a ticket but not sure if thats the right way to activate by phone. Who knows.
I can be patient, im sure they are busy, just really excited to see this zmodeler brush and to see whats possible with a 64 bit zbrush! I just finished a box modeled tool in a regular 3D program and wished the whole time that I could’ve been doing it in zbrush instead.
As a concept renderer, it is used in the early phases of a design. Does that mean you would most likely be bringing it into a more traditional renderer in a 3D app down the line and recreating the textures and scene there?
Depends on what you’re rendering I suppose. If you need the complexity that the other rendering systems provide, then sure. There are some things Keyshot cannot do the others can.
Keyshot excels at studio style rendering. It can mimic a studio lighting environment so you can show your client what their widget will look like easily enough with a minimal learning curve. ( The latter part of that sentence being the important part )
If you only need a studio style render for your design, then you’re done. Nice and easy.
If you need anything more complex, then the more robust rendering engines will probably be the way to go. They have a higher learning curve, but you have a lot more control over the output.
Just chiming in. I bought the keyshot bundle last night as well and didn’t receive an email. I noticed it did withdraw money from my bank account. I submitted a ticket. I know they are swamped at the moment, but I’m really hoping I get to play with keyshot this weekend. R7 is amazing BTW. fingers crossed
I just wanted to congratulate the team at Pixologic. You guys have never disappointed. I don’t know how its possible to keep outdoing yourselves and yet you guys consistently find a way with each upgrade. Awesome work. Zbrush 5 is probably going to melt my brain…
They are just trying to get zbrush out to everybody first before the keyshot… I have not gotten an email either just give it some time rather than bother them…
I don’t know if you’re still around, but the great thing about KeyShot Bridge/keyshot that gets undersold, is the Zbrush interactivity. Sure, you’ll see people showing off how quickly you can try out different looks and the dizzying array of impossibly shiny surfaces available at a whim. But what really kind of shocks you is the degree to which it supports a WYSIWYG workflow.
In short, it lets you be really, really lazy for all the times you don’t specifically need anything more than some shots.
I did this real quickly in r7. It’s just a simple sphere with the red wax matcap, a lick of polypaint for the smiley face, and threw a fast surface noise on it. That’s it. No Uvs, textures, bump maps, nothing. Press a button, and presto…a minute later it’s in Keyshot with a surprisingly accurate approximation of the red wax shader, although now it’s a real surface material that reacts to lighting, not a matcap where the lighting is locked in.
The only reason it took so long to get into KS is because the process converts the noise to geometry, and while higher polycounts don’t slow down performance or rendering IN Keyshot to a significant degree, it will slow down how quickly Zbrush can load it into KS, depending on system spec.
From there is a simple matter to experiment with a variety of looks, poses, lighting schemes, and backgrounds. Consider how much time would be eaten up in a traditional rendering workflow, importing and exporting maps, worrying about UVs, approximating that shader, setting up the lighting. There are times you absolutely need all that fine control, and it’s certainly not an advanced animation solution. But there are many more times you just want to get a look at something, get a quick composite, or show something to someone else quickly.
I think it’s a good pick up for anyone with a Zbrush centric workflow, or anyone who wishes their workflow could be more Zbrush-centric.
nuzzletops load the polysphere ( not the sphere3d) and hit reconstruct subdivision until you are down to a cube
Thanks for the release,
I had a couple of hiccups on de-activation -n- re-activation,
Like click web activation, it won’t allow you to shrink or move the screen to get to the browser… but kept plugging away at it and got it going…
Props to you and your crew Ofer
Thanks for all the amazing Beta - testers too, wicked works from you all.
Lots of proud folks at pixo & zbc ô¿ô
Cheers,
