Everything worked fine for me. ZBrush upgraded and installed, Keyshot 5 and Bridge up and running.
A waste of time lamenting the past but it would have been nice if there was something that indicated to put BOTH items in the cart, regarding getting the Keyshot special, on that webpage. Very misleading for those of us that are as literal and anal as I am. I too am checking my email client often in hopes of getting a reply to my submitted support ticket.
Well my ticket is over 24 hours long with zero response so just wait and give them time.
Moderator’s Note: There are hundreds of tickets and limited staff. It will take time to get through them all. They are being handled in the order in which they are received.
I also had to rename the keyshot to ZB bridge license file after downloading to include the .zlic extension before ZB would see it. If it changes to a text file it won’t work. Took a couple of tries before it finally worked. I’m on a PC.

Well that’s if I was awake early enough Jan.
When I put in my email and license key to get my download link it tells me:
The key provided is for a version other than ZBrush 4 or an NFR.
Please make sure the key is for ZBrush 4 and above.
NFR’s are excluded from upgrades
I know it’s a 4R6 license as my original email from pixologic says:
ZBrush 4R6 - WIN (Single User Disc) Commercial
I can’t find much if anything about what NFR is.
Anybody have a thought? I have a ticket in with pixologic as well but thought I’d try here.
Just updated and WOW its simply amazing to use. Im getting straight in with the Zmodeler brush
I just have one question, when using symmetry in the new zbrush, i cant see both cursors when looking straight at the mesh however if on an angle they are both visable ??? it wasn’t like this before, its not a major issue and i fear it is going to be just me which means the headache of a hardware issue lol just thought i would find out if anyone else was experiencing this??
Hey Guys
Where did you get the keyshot license file. I purchased the bridge and keyshot for zbrush but have only received a receipt via email. However I can’t find where I download the bridge or the keyshot licence file (i downloaded the trial version of zbrush keyshot from the keyshot site).
I am pretty sure I am being thick but any help would be awesome.
cheers
Dave
Daveo, the exact thing happened to me earlier this morning. Bought the bundle, added a hat to the cart, a little souvenir gift for the nerd inside me, and got just and only a fancy receipt… So I submitted a ticket to pixologic support, I guess we will have to wait until they open the support service office in a few hours. Patience is just innecessary, with the main upgrade we’ve got plenty to play meanwhile…
Still… eager to have the first taste of it!
Edit:
Moderator’s Reply: You should have received a second email containing your download link(s). That email also had your serial number and the link to generate your license file. If you did not receive that second email and it’s not in your junk folder you will need to submit a Support ticket. Be aware that it will be several days before we can reply to that ticket, unfortunately.
I see… bummer.
Congrats for the release! One of the biggest updates in 16+ years of ZBrush development (presented 1999!)
Very awesome release! Loving the 64-bit version. ZModeler is sick.
Anyone else having an issue when trying to delete subtools? The confirmation dialog fades every time for me.
Pandarr - NFR means Not for Resale.
and I figured I would post it in here before submitting a ticket to what is probably a very overwhelmed staff at the moment
If you pick up the new Zbrush + Keyshot bundle, ( The whole package, not just the bridge plugin ) can you run this on more than one computer at a time ?
While Zbrush can be ( and always has), I’m quite curious about the Keyshot side of things.
I only ask because I already own a commercial license of Keyshot Pro 5 and I am limited to using Keyshot on a single computer at any given time. In other words, while I can have the software installed on multiple machines, the license will only activate one of them at a time. If I want to switch between my primary workstation and my mobile one, I have to deactivate the Keyshot license on the primary, then activate it on the mobile before I can use it and vice versa.
I’m curious if the same limitations will be present with the custom Zbrush version of Keyshot or not.
Well that’s if I was awake early enough Jan.
Lazybones, lazybones.

Of course it did. You’ve got the luck of the Irish.

Thanks, Aurick.
At least I know mine is not “unassigned,” just because I get on everybody’s nerves.
I’m new to ZBrush, but not modeling in general. I decided to buy it based on the incredible things being shown in preview videos related to the ZModeler feature.
Now having used it a little bit, I’ve got to say it fully lives up to the hype. Even with my initial clumsy interaction with the interface of ZBrush, I can still tell the ZModeler features will eventually completely change the way I work. I’m looking forward to getting used to the ZBrush interface and using these features to their full potential.
This is the text from the Pixolgic store.
Single User copies have a “Home Use” rule which allows them to be installed and activated on two computers (such as a desktop and laptop or a work computer and home machine), provided that both copies aren’t actually run at the same time
I was unable to license Keyshot on a second computer. I use a Work PC and Home PC. just wondering if anyone has ran into this.
Thanks,
@ Padarr: I guess NFR means that it is NOT FOR SALE (http://searchitchannel.techtarget.com/definition/not-for-resale-NFR)
Did you buy it from Pixologic?
I bought it from Amazon. It has no indication that it might be an NFR copy on the page or the packaging. If it is… that sucks. Not Pixologics fault of course. But I might have to get ahold of Amazon to let them know cause that’s shady. Thanks for figuring that out. I’ll see what Pixologic says to confirm it’s an NFR copy.
It was sold to me from Amazon by Motion Media LLC which is listed on Pixologics partners page at least.

Edit: Just wanted to update. It’s working fine now. System was just being janky. 4r7 installed and working.
Hello Everyone,
Brand new user to Zbrush here.
I already have C4D and other 3rd party render engines. My plan was to use Zbrush to model/sculpt and bring meshes into C4D for rendering.
Is KeyShot mostly for Zbrush users that don’t have other rendering options? What are the advantages of Keyshot over bringing your model into another 3D app and rendering there? What are the downsides?
Thanks,
Jim
Hello,
I purchased 4R7 and a backup disk yesterday evening at 6pm CA time. I see that they were closed at this time. Does anyone know if the link/activation code that is sent via email after purchase is automated or if someone has to come into the office and physically press send for my link to be sent out? I understand that they are swamped but I just want to be a little more familiar with the process from some more experienced Zbrushers so that I’m not too passive or too impatient.
Thanks
Keyshot two computers??? This is the text from the Pixolgic store.

I was afraid of this ( see my post #290 ). I have also posted this question over on the KeyShot forums. I’ll let you know what they say about it.
