ZBrush 4R7: Released!

I just sent a 6 million polygon model with two eyes - 2 million polys, and fibermesh hair (in preview mode only) to Keyshot with the push of a button and in seconds it was there and rendering.

That’s 9 million polys all in a few seconds. I love the bridge.

The Keyshot for Zbrush is missing a few features I would have liked - such as multi pass rendering - but that requires the pro version of Keyshot anyway way too much money for a hobbyist like myself.

Nam… where did you get your licence file from?

Did you get a email from pixologic or keyshot after purchase… I have received nothing and its beginning to frustrate me.

I am downloading the trial version of the bridge +keyshot for zbrush but there is nothing on the site or anything on the receipt.

So ANY words of wisdom would be epic.

Yoou will receive an email with the download links, included the licence file. I changed the format to .zlic, because zbrush didn´t recognized it in first place and it worked perfectly.

Thanks Thanks

I am in the same situation as Daveo
I have another question too
is it allowed to install keyshot for zbrush at 2 computers (laptop, mainpc)
like zbrush?

I bought the plugin bundle yesterday. I Received an email that was named “Thank you for purchasing Zbrush license”.

I got the licence by going to the “Generate and Download License File” link in that email. I had to enter my email and the serial number and it generated a .zlic file.

When I hit the render in keyshot button while in Zbrush it asked me for the license. I pointed to the file and then it took 3 hours for it to activate - due to internet traffic last night.

hope that helps.

There was a choice for a trial version in the pop up menu. So I guess if you haven’'t purchased yet you should be able to click on the trial link there.

Once I selected external render and turned on Keyshot the menu popped up but I read some people had to also click on BPR…

Just notice luthbel answered…

I just wanted you folks to know that I whent for the DL and will make digital and archive copy asap of funktional s#

Thanks Daveo, i was wondering if there was a way so that you get the maps also, does the FBX option allow for this?

Did anyone get the

Optional: Download the KeyShot Content Installer. This FREE bonus content pack includes over 100 back plates, HDR images and assorted clay-style materials for use in your KeyShot renders.

I clicked on it and it said that it had expired or I had exceeded my downloads. But I never got it.

Argyll9846: A complete Documentation Guide/User Guide is currently in progress and it will be included in ZBrush 5. But snce we already have several chapters done, we will soon provide the chapters which are already done and we will update this documentation as much as possible, until it’s final release with ZBrush 5.

Pixologic is the only graphics program manufacturer that I know who doesn’t rip off their purchasers. I am awe inspired not only by the product but by the company.

I so agree with that statement .I think everyone here does .They simply are the best people around .They are a rarity they actually care about their customers thats why we all love em .Companies that care what a novel idea it might actually work .:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:sunglasses:

That 64bit was a long time coming but it’s excellent. Cranked the model up 30 000 000 poly’s and it render out the normals. Mind you took 20min but yes to be able do it, just a dream come true. Thanks Guys !!!

Hey Jan, I downloaded it tonight when I got home. Didn’t see it last night until too late as I was working until late last night on school stuff. I don’t think my littlies are up to ZBrush yet!

Thanks to all on the ZBrush team for all the work on creating and distributing 4R7. No problems so far…had a little play but my brain is fried from work so will have to have a serious look on the weekend.

I do love what I’ve seen so far though!

Hey, Pen:

Wait till you start fiddling with the ZModeler Brush/Tools. You’ll see what I mean, about students soon modeling their homework.

The designers used an ingenious system to create the hard surface modeling actions. Very straightforward.

Glad you got your upgrade! I figure Wolfie already did because I saw him post yesterday.

And Dill would’ve been at the head of the line, of course.

Hey Guys

Where did you get the keyshot license file. I purchased the bridge and keyshot for zbrush but have only received a receipt via email. However I can’t find where I download the bridge or the keyshot licence file (i downloaded the trial version of zbrush keyshot from the keyshot site).

I am pretty sure I am being thick but any help would be awesome.

cheers

Dave

Hey, dude, have you gotten this solved yet?

I got the bridge yesterday, with links to download license and Keyshot – but don’t think I paid the right price so nothing will activate.

Anyhow, your email should’ve given you a download link for a license. The bridge – I think – is pre-installed with the ZB 4R7 upgrade. You need that license file to activate it though…or not activate, in my case.

I turned in a Support Ticket at Pixologic. Phone Support said to do that, and they’d be handled, first come, first serve.

Did you do a Support Ticket?

I started to go ahead and buy Keyshot, out of bundle price, but not sure that’d work either.

So waiting on Support to tell me what to do.

Many thanks to all the developers who worked on this important and long-awaited update of ZBrush! It is with great satisfaction that I dedicate my greatest
greetings to these artists and the Pixologic! My great and thank you for
size success of this great software!:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:D

Awesome work Pixologic crew… You guys rock! The updates looks amazing!

I am one who purchased only the $200 Keyshot for ZBrush and not the bridge, for $149. Sad way to find out that in order to get the special price you had to add both to your cart. So I found in the troubleshooting forum, the FAQ, that addressed this very issue. I submitted a support ticket as directed and am now waiting to get my reply. I am tempted to purchase the remaining $149 part but am afraid I will not be able to get that extra $100 back. Wish I was rich enough to simply not care…but I am not. Every penny counts. Hopefully I will hear from them soon and this will be behind me. The Keyshot folks responded right away but simply told me that Pixologic is handling all of the sales on this version of Keyshot.

Oh, well,
luckily my update to r7 worked flawless,
so i can look at the other new stuff zbrush has for me,

Same as me, except I got the bridge.

What confuses me is, I got download links to Keyshot – the full deal. Was fuddled about the low price, but…

Anyway, someone said that yesterday the priority was to get everyone upgraded to 4R7.

Maybe today (cross fingers), they’ll start working on support tickets.

MIne, too! :+1:

64 bit! What a gem, as some keep calling it.
