I actually read over the fact that qremesher was going to cost money.
I don’t know the price ofcourse, if it’s very reasonable i’ll get it, otherwise i’ll skip it, i don’t rly need to retopologize that much, I did once or twice and i bought topogun for it , but havent used it in a year or so.
we thought we would be happy today because of the fibermesh and other gifts but they decided to torture us announcing Qremesher… I can´t wait to see that in action!!
I don’t have 4R2 installed - in fact I don’t have anything installed, as I did a reformat a couple of months ago and just haven’t gotten around to installing - I do have downloads for Zb 3, Zb 4, and Zb 4R2. SDo what is the best way to do this? Should I start with Zb 4, or just Zb 4R2? My 4R2 installer is over 400 mb, so I assume it’s the full package. But wait - in the Zb 4R2 email it says: Note: Do not deactivate ZBrush 4 or uninstall it prior to installing the upgrade!
So…do I need to first install Zb 4, then activate, then install 4R2, then deactivate, then install and activate 4R2b?
Maybe I should go ahead and submit a ticket - my head is spinning…
Installed and activated. YAY! Don’t know wth happened last night or why my deactivation didn’t process properly, but Pixo support rocks and it works now. Time to do the dance of joy.
QRemesher is result of the collective efforts of both Pixologic and Verold. As it’s name suggests, it is a remeshing solution both automatic and guided. Stay tuned, for a February pre-release Alpha version of QRemesher, available for download and preview inside ZBrush 4R2b. Once completed, QRemesher will be available for purchase and download at Pixologic.com.
“The ZBrush 4R2b Updater requires version 4R2 to already be installed on your computer. If you do not have version 4R2 installed and you did not save its installer you will not be able to use this Updater. Instead, please submit a Support ticket at https://support.pixologic.com. Choose the Upgrades department when asked. Be sure to include your Cleverbridge Reference Number (above) so that our staff can assist you promptly.”
Has anyone found detailed info on micromesh? From what I read its a rendertime only operation, but I’m wondering if theres a feature to replace geometry and export the micromesh changes.
(Say, make a plant, and then export it so it could be used in Vue or Lightwave.)
This is AWESOME… I just played around with Fibermesh, and it is DEFINITELY the ****… now I do have a question involving noisemaker…where is the plugin for it?
