Ah yes, we are right on schedule with our Stages of Grief in the usual Pixologic release week hellscape.
1)Denial.
“I’m going to get that new program at midnight, the morning of, right?”
- Anger.
“Blaaaarggghhh!” , “I don’t under stand why Pixologixc is so…determined to be so…why they would choose…why can’t I…why wont they…so backwards…trying to punish their customers…I’m going to use X software instead!”
- Bargaining* (where we are now)
“I will pay you for the program!”, “But I need this brand new tool that Ive never worked with for X job, that I took based on a theoretical piece of software…my need is great!” “Why can’t we just pay for updates?..Then everything would be the way I want it, because that is always the case with paid software updates!”
4)Depression (<–where I am currently)
“It’s been two weeks. I’m never going to see this thing. I’m always last on the list. It probably isnt that great anyway.”
and finally…
5)Acceptance
Shrugs. “This is just the way of the Pixo. It’s strange out here on the cutting edge, but I can’t get what I get here any where else really, and I’m getting it for free.”
(note: Acceptance still won’t get you your download link, you’ll just feel better about it)
