HEY! SUV has been fixed!!! (but still got no mail…)

“Yes.In ZBrush 4R2 there is a new ReUV function. When pressing this button, ZBrush recalculates the UVs for the current subdivision level. If SUV is turned on, they will be smoothed UVs and if it is turned off they will be non-smooth. This also allows you to switch between smooth and non-smooth UVs at any time.”

Congratulations Michalis! :slight_smile: I’m already in it, Dynamesh works really good, I think the reason they didn’t incorporate Dr Petters’ topology reconstruction is that it probably be a lot slower than dynamesh in trying to find each feature, and wouldn’t give a good result for animation topology so maybe they thought “what’s the point?”.

Finally!.. The wait is over!!.. woohoooooooo!! All installed and working great, folders in the lightbox is cool on the mac version. Dynamesh is looking very cool having stitched some hands on backwards and some ears where eyes should go and blended them all seamlessly… and all from a sphere! lol. Rendering is awesome too, the floor having an auto shadow catcher is great, upping the rays, and shadow angle for some super soft shadows is fantastic!

Great stuff, thanks to the team at Pixologic, my suffering has ended :slight_smile:

Hope anyone else that is waiting gets there copy soon!!

damn, i am really the last one as it seems… so when should we submit tickets? as far as i know the 12 hours are over now…

[COLOR="#FFFFFF"]All upgrade links have now been sent out. (Two days early!)

If you have not received your upgrade email for whatever reason, please do the following:

  1. Check your spam filter and junk mail folder. The email may have come from Cleverbridge or from Pixologic. Please check for both.
  2. If there’s nothing there, go to https://support.pixologic.com and Submit a Ticket. Choose the Upgrades department. Be sure to include the name and email address that your account is located under. We will locate your upgrade and resend it to you. If your email address has changed we will also update that in the system so that you can use the new email address going forward.

Please be aware that it may take a day or two to reply to your ticket. A lot of people didn’t update their email addresses before the upgrade was released, so we’ll have a good many of these tickets to work through.
