I just had to post. :cool:

I have YET to get mines. It seems like everyone around me has gotten their keys. Im still waiting for mines :cry: Patiences is a Virtue especially for a free upgrade but man can it get anxious waiting for something everyone around you is already enjoying. I been checking my E-mail every 2-3 hours and hopefully I get it tonight for the weekend. Good thing I have a few projects to keep me distracted along with a Matte Painting Im doing. I even ran around my house with a cowboy hat pretending I was John Wayne but now Im back. We’ll Seeeeeee :smiley:

ran out of ideas/theories about why i didnt have my email yet, got tired of posting and refreshing the comments thread, took a nap, woke up and there it was… an email!!!ZBrush 4R2 Upgrade Instructio<wbr>ns!!!
so… my theory for next year is that if you post a minimum of 5 comments on this (or similar) thread, each with a minimum of 3 bad cleverbridge jokes embedded within them, they cant take the heat anymore and send out the emails!

try it, take a short nap and THEN check your inboxes… it works!!

YAY!!! clay play time shall now commence!!

Complimentary posting, but a bit of background.
Don’t use Zbrush much anymore for a few reasons:workflow, etc.
One large reason is that I am still using a version going back
to November 2009.
Reason being that installation was a bitch.
Then when installed tried to deauthorize and reauthorize due to a computer format.
That is when the real party started.
Sent an email to support regarding the reauthorization and the following
days/weeks were a nightmare resulting in just quitting.
Now.
New version,
Email with installation instructions came at 9/23/11 4:00pm e.s.t
Fully functional Z4.2 with working plugins installed without a hitch by
4:15pm.
As long as I don’t have to format my computer down the road I have hope.

I’m not normally the groupie type, but after just a few minutes with the new tools I’m becoming one. Very nice and wanted to say thank you one more time for impact. Thanks also to the Beta Testers.

well i got my email about an hour ago…well earlier one could assume. it was waiting when i woke up.

so i’ll see you guys in twelve months for ZB5 then…or if something completely confuses me

Congrats to all you that have gotten your email! Me, I’m still waiting, still refreshing every 2 minutes and 15 seconds. The more I see that you all have gotten your copies, the larger the ball in my throat grows and the more the tears swell up in my eyes. Ahh well, with any luck it’ll show up soonish. Please, please tell my how utterly bad-arse the upgrade is, hopefully that will make the wait bareable.

Dynamesh is really amazing. I feel like I can sculpt anything now without any limitations.

I have to agree because the peps at Pixo have developed a amazing piece of tech for artist and they are letting us upgrade for free :slight_smile:

Autodesk however does give there stuff away to students for free too. But lets face it, for $700 you get a SWP that rivals even Maya in my opinion in every lvl. Maya cost somewhere around 2K I think… do the math.

either way Both companies are great at what they do… however I think Pixo is about to skyrocket… Again that is just me.

It’s a bit of a tease this Scuptris email… How are you enjoying Scuptris? How about upgrading to ZBrush? Urm, I have? Ssend me my upgrade email!! Lol… You have to hand it to Pixologic, they know how to send people crazy :slight_smile:

Your not alone! Just got done checking with support to make sure that while in a drunkin stupor in the past weeks, that I hadn’t changed my e-mail to “[email protected]” or something. Nope, same e-mail! “#%$@”.

What’s really amazing is that I haven’t managed to crash Zbrush with them yet. I immediately set to seeing how fast I could crash ZB with the Curve Surface tool by piling on as much impossible geometry as I could. Just piles and piles of crazy overlaping and inverted spirals, the sort of thing that would have made earlier ZB versions run away screaming. Not managed to crash it yet. Even managed to dynamesh it successfully after a bit of a hang, although the results are not for weak stomachs.

I’m so rough with my new toys. This is why I cant have nice things.
