In the past Pixologic have generally sent out update emails starting around midnight PST on the release day. Chances are most of us won’t be seeing anything before tuesday, possibly much later. It can take a few days to get all the emails out without jamming up the system.

Yeah, i have to admit i do find it strange how Pixologic is not posting any feature videos or anything… a little pimping would be nice 3 days before the release… maybe more info on GoZ features, paint layers, etc… i guess it doesn’t really matter now

3 days to go so have a chill and spare a thought for poor old Shadowcaster. He’s going to be eaten by a clown and will miss the whole ZBrush 4 thing all together. Unless that is, he can pass through the clowns digestive system quickly and without a hitch.

The zBrush community should use the next few days wisely. Spend some time with your spouse, feed your pets, give the kids a pat on the head. They’ll miss you while you’re gone.

I can almost see guys at Pixologic going “You serious? Thats already monday! Damn! And there is no chance making 3.9a for the time being? CRAP! Didnt I told you "DO NOT place exact date?!”!?" :lol:
Remember, Pixologic will release Zbrush 4 slowly, allowing some people to get it Monday, Tuesday, then Wednesday, so on.
So next week will be torturous!

Have you read the posts on this thread and watched the video on the first post? That’s about as much as anyone knows, apart from those beta testers who can’t say anything until after its released.
I remember thinking when I was waiting 3 days after release to get my link for Z 3.5 why doesn’t Pixologic go the p2p route for getting the release out to the masses and just send the serials to everyone in the one go, would deffo cut down on the Pix server overheads and make every Zbrush owner happy at the same time. Seems to work fine for MMO updates and they are well over 200MB most of the time.

No matter what I say, Pixologic is an extremely innovative company willing to embark on new processes and approaches to sculpting. In a era where most companies (especially Game Development companies) always take the safe route it is so refreshing to see a company challenge the norm.
Keep it up. Hope I won’t be waiting until December to actually get ZB4.
