ZBrush 4.0 Activation and Registration Troubleshooting

… At this point i’m just going to wait.
At this point? You’re obviously not using a mac…

I have not had to pay a nickel for upgrades since V2 for crying out loud, lol. It’s all good.
I rather pay than having to thank for nothing. With some of that dough they could hire some folks experienced with software distribution and maybe then it would be “all good”.

But Zbrush got more expensive with each release (as it should be). So the people who bought it at 1.55b would not only get it first but they would have got it when ZB was at its cheapest.

Amateurs!

How can i tell for sure if i am properly registered and set to receive the email? haha i haven’t even opened the program in forever… i know emails are going out slow, but still :stuck_out_tongue:

gaaahhhhh…

I’m still hoping!

I believe that if you registered with the Suporrt Center - not just with the Forums - then you will eventually get an e-mail.

Thanks, i tried to log into the support center earlier this morning and it was just hanging, but i just tried again after you suggested that and indeed i am registered and using a current e-mail. And now i wait.

I think anyone who’s surname begins with a J and who lives in the UK should be next on the list to get their e-mail

disclaimer : My surname does not begin with a nor do I live in the UK (honest!!)

How about posting a reading of how many activations per hour are actually going through? I’d feel a little better knowing it’s more than none.

I will let you know when i receive an email. Will you do the same for me hehe

… it finally worked, after lot of tries, :sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:sunglasses:small_orange_diamond:sunglasses:

Ok, between yesterday and today I’ve spent about four to five hours trying to get the activation to go through. Are you sure the servers are turned on?

Apparently not, as I can now not reach the activation page at all.

Please clarify lack of 64-bit support. I’ve spent more than four hours trying to activate and it doesn’t have 64-bit support?

Whichway

Ok, so… let me share some first impressions on ZB4.
Polypainting layers is awesome! Really!
This REC button… i dont dig it at all!

53mil polys, in all 40 or so subtools - in ZB3.5 all in high subd.lvl rotate in the viewport just fine > in ZB4, slooooow ?!

Clipping brushes - awesome! … for hard surface stuff ?!
I cut my troll just for the sake of experiment and this is whats happening… clipp.JPG
… this is sooo funny ?!

All that animation stuff… really! Stupid idea imho. Just to make an interesting turntable ? Why ?

Whatever… the Spotlight is awesome! That one was missing! Really nice!
So far so good… I cant manage to make a decent render but i never rendered in ZB so… its normal

By the way, i am expecting soon the Pixo guys to release R1, R2, R3…
Whats with the non stop subdividing when working with layers ?

Now two days since getting my upgrade notification from Pixologic and still unable to Activate. Not a happy camper.

I would like to know the same. I’ve been reading about upgrading e-mails, but haven’t seen much about new licenses.

Are new licenses and upgrade e-mails in the same queue?

Just realised I originally posted this in an ancient forum from the last release…DUH
I’ve finally pinched my pennies and bought Zbrush4.
However I’m having the same thing happen as a lot of people when trying to activate online where it comes up with an error message after entering all my details and clicking the email me code button.
Does it matter if I’m using Firefox as my browser or is IE better?
Last night I must have tried at least a dozen times with no luck.
Will keep trying tonight but it’s annoying as I just want to play with my new toy
Sure it’ll be worth the wait!
Gives me an excuse to sit on my arse and drink beer while staring blankly at the screen in hope
MMMMM BEER!!

Ok, I give up. I’m trying the e-mail activation since even if it takes a couple of days, that will be less time than I’ve already wasted on the useless web activation.
