*** ZBrush 3.5 Release 2 for Windows is now available

would be nice to see transparency work on zSpheres, allowing you to pick those hard-to-get joints…

Is anyone having problems with the standard brush stroke? or at least notice the difference between 3.1 and 3.5 in freehand mode? For me there seems to be no difference between Dotted and Freehand mode, and all the my strokes are very dotted unless I go really slow. I’m curious to know if it’s just the machines at my work or if it’s a bug. This is our main brush at work, so we’re kind of sad that we have to stay with 3.1. I played with the stroke average, tablet settings, modifiers, etc, but nothing works.

how can I assign flatten or another brush to the shift key? In Zbrush 3.1 I just hold shift and click on the flatten brush which assigns the flattenbrush to the shift key. :frowning:

Hello,

I have an activation problem by activate 3.5R2 after deactivation 3.5 on my desktop pc. After enter my serial number I read:

This machine was never registered and the number of active licenses has reached the maximum alloted for your purchase agreement.

<input name=“ID” value=“350” type=“hidden”><input name=“key” value=“CARH-762R-PF7C-P151” type=“hidden”><input name=“email” value="[email protected]" type=“hidden”>If you would like make a request to technical support to deactivate an installed license on a different machine, please click on the link below."

Just be aware, it looks identical to the first zip you downloaded but if you open it up you will see that it’s the R2 version. Why they didn’t rename the zip to reflect the newer content within I don’t know. I’m sure there is a reason…

Thanks dude, I’ll be on the look-out.

Anyone up for doing a quick demo video on Zbrush 3.5 Geometry HD and then show how to extract a normal map from that HD sculpt.

The file sizes aren’t identical. The R2 zip is about 80 kB smaller.

I think I said “looks identical” didn’t I?

Fair enough  .

Incidentally, let me add my voice to those thanking the folks at Pixologic for the new version of ZBrush, as well as for the second release.

(jealous and somewhat) Patient Mac user waiting to get his hands on 3.5 and ZSpheres II…

Has anyone looked into writing a script/plugin that would allow you to export the ZSphere armature as a bone setup, and also export the correlating overlying mesh with weighted influence based on those bones? This would be an enormous times saver and help link the sculpting and rigging process in a way that should be pretty intuitive.

Excellent. Pixologic thank you
now installed + update cool :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

So when do we get our plugins working again? 3.5 is cool and all but I’ve become reliant on the plugins for workflow such as Decimation Master and thus can’t do much in 3.5 outside of personal work. I would have figured with the extra month it took to release 3.5 just “right” with a patch shortly after that the plugins would work right away.

Downloaded and activated (again;)). Thanx Pixo!

It’s even more perplexing than that. Knowing that 3.5 was coming along very soon, why release new plugins that would be unusable in a month or two? You’d have thought that some planning would have gone into it.

Even more than that, you might have figured that they would have been bundled. Plugins like Decimation Master, Subtool Master, Transpose Master, & Image Plane have become “must have” features that one would figure would make their way into the core app - or at least the core download package…

Yup… I just realized that even older MASSIVELY USED plugins like ZMapper are nowhere to be found. Shouldn’t this just be a part of ZB now? Can’t Pixologic build ZB to be modular enough so that old plugins will work with newer versions of the software (a-la maya)? Does it seem that ZB gets totally re-written every time a new version comes out? Anyways, just rambling…

As I wrote elsewhere.
Consider the new version as working perfectly( try ).
If you could not get the plugins reinstalled, would the
new version be worth it, as is?
Thank God, you get to keep the old version intact.
(To me…)

Thanks Pixologic team … just got the ZB 3.5 sr2 … excellent. I’m running on Vista now.
