I swear the people on these forums act like ten year olds when it comes to certain subjects. Zbrush is not your girlfriend, and today isn’t your birthday and she isn’t out on the town with some other guy. It’s just a tool, and today is just another day, and they are no doubt working on it as always.

If it’s the best, obviously it’s the best thing to use, by definition. If something else is better, then again by definition it’s better to use that.

If mudbox 2010 or 3D coat suddenly jump ahead then buying another package might make some sense, but if there’s nothing better then why bother switching? Just to show your wrath at missing a release date by a few days and having it called 3.12B instead of 3.5?

neurogenesis, most of the people here whine, because pixo hasn’t managed to hit any date they previously stated.
People who are waiting impatiently for this update are hoping for a program that wasn’t released initially in the best state possible.
They haven’t just stopped working with the program in anticipation of the release 4. That would be stupid. People are waiting for a fix for many many bugs of the mac version.
If you can’t understand the frustration and the impatience than I’m sure you haven’t used the mac port. Then you would have sympathized with them.

Pixo has given the Mac community the run-around for a year and a half, and still hasn’t delivered on its promises; still continues to make promises it doesn’t keep, and on and on.

well, 10 minutes until it’s officially midnight on the west coast. not sure why i’m anxiously awaiting this. i don’t think they’re really adding anything new (well, except some key functionality—hopefully.)

pixologic has always released updates/versions at like 11:59pm pacific time, why would today be any different? some people were out for blood way too early, and i’ll bet they feel pretty silly now

as an aside- there are no release notes anywhere that i can tell… can anybody give us PC users a rundown on what all was fixed? I’m guessing the obvious bugs were fixed such as displacement map exports, anything else?

as far as i can tell in the 10 minutes i spent playing around, they fixed the canvas resizing bug and the render crashing. there aren’t any new features (that I can see) that stand out or anything. Sorry, still no ZApplink. I guess that’s for another day.
