ZBrush 3.12B OSX

Hmmmm…

I must be thinking of some other ‘invertedNormal’. LOL!

Okay, well… it’s 5 in L.A., so their offices are closed now.

So, I would be looking for the release in the next 4 hours, or days, weeks, months - you pick one.

Have fun! I’m outta here! I’ll check back in a few hours and see if y’all are still sittin’ around here smokin’ and drinkin’.

@Morbius

must be. i’m always very tame. you might be thinking intervain or somebody??

Which exactly deadline that is, that you didnt met?

Unbelievable. There’s a big ANNOUNCEMENT with today’s date on it right now.
It’s ridiculous. How incredibly irresponsible it would be to let this day go by and still have that HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT up for everyone to see. Just wow.
I really hope someone is working late over there tonight.

Pixologic has always released stuff late in the day, never during normal business hours, I expect something in the next 4 hrs.

Exactly right.

I guess Pixo is just use to everyone ‘knowing’ they release when they get around to it. I still think they’d be better off being honest and forthright with their customers, and instead of saying ‘Monday’, say ‘Monday Night - 9 p.m.’
or “Tuesday @ Noon!”

They ALWAYS do this. ALWAYS.

well i just figured heck i guess i will comment since i have been here a while…
don’t bother waiting here a whole long time like a dog with big eyes waiting to be thrown a scrap… lol… because its usually around 1:00 am ----2:00am over on the east coast in new york time zone… its always that way with pixologic it was that way with z3 release and im sure a lot of the members that have been here for a while as poster or just a nonparticipating member they will tell you the same thing… so it is best to maybe just came back around then same thing with zbrush4 when that comes out… but i will say this i have great respect for this product what we as a zbrush community are able to produce with it… that and appreciation of how they started a whole new workflow to modeling even before the muboxers had theres and skymatter came to pixologic to try to offer advice on what zbrush should be …so yes patience is the whole element when it comes to pixologic that and time… but regardless i am fortunate to have found this place out of all the forums so again… i hope you find this some what useful to you if you expect it to be minutes from now…

No question that ZBrush is the best, period. That’s for sure, Troy.

Unfortunately, in the over year and a half since I bought v2 for Mac, this sequence of events is always the same, and even now v3.12 for Mac still doesn’t work right. There comes a point when one needs to really think about moving on, unless Pixo gets their act together.

Forever hopeful.

Anyway, just thought I’d stick my head in the door and see if anything’s happening yet. Not. It’s not worth staying up late over. That much is certain.
Think I’l check back again tomorrow morning.

I think they should get a new philosophy. Finish Zbrush, then announce it will come out in 3 months, then release it in 2 weeks.

Well that’ll never happen!

IT’S YOUR idea though! YOU’RE very clever!

Thanks for the English lesson!

Good night everyone. Disappointing day, indeed.

I hope you are doing it with all other things like circle or fire?
Come on man - I cannot name any other company that can literally f**k up so many THEIR OWN deadlines. 3dcoat is a creation of ONE MAN and he still manage to let people know whats going on, stay in contact and update news while programing. ONE MAN - so please dont give us that crap with “uuuuu, Pixologic is small company, blablabla”.
Lets face it - there is no explanation for such arrogance on Pixologic side. Zbrush is really good (actually AMAZING) piece of software, but make no mistake - unless they invent something ground breaking again they will be soon out of business. Mudbox will not stay in in its current shape waiting for Pixologic to lead the way. Neither will any other software. And all the others manage to meet their own announcements .

Sure you can delete that post for using verbal abuse but I need to say so (mostly because ZB is one of my favorite applications:

GET YOUR S**T TOGETHER, PIXOLOGIC! PLEASE.

So that was it?? I’m sure they will eventually upload it but they don’t seem to try to make amends with their customers. They screw yet another -let me add- simple date.

Pixo just doesn’t learn from its mistakes.

Makes you wonder what will happen in august. (Even though we already know what will happen).

How does this even make any sense?

If it’s the best, obviously it’s the best thing to use, by definition. If something else is better, then again by definition it’s better to use that.

If mudbox 2010 or 3D coat suddenly jump ahead then buying another package might make some sense, but if there’s nothing better then why bother switching? Just to show your wrath at missing a release date by a few days and having it called 3.12B instead of 3.5?

I swear the people on these forums act like ten year olds when it comes to certain subjects. Zbrush is not your girlfriend, and today isn’t your birthday and she isn’t out on the town with some other guy. It’s just a tool, and today is just another day, and they are no doubt working on it as always.

Oh well. What else can I say? Fool me once, shame on you: Fool me twice, shame on me.

Let’s see what tomorrow brings. Goodnight. (groan!)
