Oh Yes. Now it’s our turn.
I am… almost excited
I had to start using ZBrush earlier this summer and needed to use 3.1, so I set up bootcamp on my mac and purchased windows xp. Now that 3.12 is about to come out, I would like to get rid of the bootcamp partition on my harddrive and run ZBrush on OSX. Does the free upgrade to 3.12 apply to people like me or is it only for people who have been running ZBrush 2 on their macs? I hope I don’t have to pay the full amount again-- especially since I had to purchase windows xp just to run ZBrush 3.1.
Hi jhesser, I see you typed:
“I hope I don’t have to pay the full amount again-- especially since I had to purchase windows xp just to run ZBrush 3.1.”
So I say, maybe you missed:
“All registered users of the current version, including those who purchase between now and the release of
ZBrush 3.12 will receive the new version as a free upgrade.”
…i bought my copy with the promise of a working copy for my intel mac of z2 on 7/27/06…
first there were dinosaurs, then zbrush for pc …and you know the rest… aa its nearly 2009.
I bought my Mac Pro just for ZB. I probably would have used my G5 for another 4 years.

Probably the new ZB version cannot be installed because it duplicates existing Apple functionality somewhere…

thanks for the tip Jr.Who. I just got another eight. for a total of 12. I ran their system check and different ram showed up.
SG do ya’ need something for that cough my fiend. I just got over a cold and I still have some cough drops left.
SG what are you doing with all of that power if I may ask. AWEstruck. Its like the W.H.O.P.E.R. and HAL 9000 all in one.
he he. Right on!
How much are the 100 TB kits? I’d give my left…
stick with the kits on dealram (that 1800memory place
is really good) I just built 7 workstations for my team,
standard issue mac pro’s from apple and did the memory
and storage upgrades myself - everyone has 10gb…
saved the company over 10k by using 1800memory,
no bad dimms, free shipping
8gb for $260… makes we want to order another kit…
chyea… who cares about 100tb memory, look at those
CPUs… 8x 8-Core 800-Ghz
lol…
I agree and It just so happens I have two more slots open. thanks SG.
