**** ZBrush 3.12 - for Mac OS X - to be released on September 29, 2008 ****

Since I was so late to fill out the form I’m betting next week for me…

It would be nice if they would provide us with the link so that we could download it in anticipation of getting our licenses. That way we don’t have to wait another few minutes for the download after our email comes.

Bu beside that, as much as I’d love to just act like this doesn’t bug me at all… it does. You shouldn’t put out a release date if you know you’re not going to stick strictly to it for everybody. It’s like being teased over the edge.

this sounds so familiar…

Well, I certainly wasn’t expecting to be ZBrushing on 24“ of gorgeous Apple screen today, in fact this week would surprise me, but I hoped SOMEONE would be up and running on the 29th (which ends in less than half an hour here) to give us a few screen shots and details of any possible surprises in the release.

Aw come on, details… I want details f’gawdsake! Hows the speed? Is it quick? Is it different at all? Even a new matcap or alpha would be big news! Ah well, nearly a year, whats a few more days?

Murder!

I forgot where I put my serial number. I have been owner of ZBush 1.5, 2 and was running Windows/ Parallels 3.1. I do not recall when I purchased 3.1
Will this be a problem?
Has pixologic spelled out how we get the program?
(Not us users comments, just the official word, please.)

Fill out the form at www.pixologic.com/zbrush/upgrade as thoroughly as you can. It is not required for you to fill in every field. Just provide the best info you can, and we’ll contact you with a request for more information if it proves necessary.

Upgrade links will be sent out to everyone who fills out the form, after the info on the form has been used to locate the user’s account. Links will go out on a first-come, first-served basis. They will also be sent in batches, determined by server loads.

No upgrade links have been sent yet. They will be sent after 3.12 officially releases. I do not know what time that will take place. I do know from experience with past releases that it could even be sometime after normal business hours. There are a lot of things that have to come together all at once for the switch to actually be thrown making the version officially “live”.

Thanks very much for the info, Aurick!

I always say that and of course it is not true. I can and I have and it is always worth it.

Subtools and subtools not to mention… subtools.

Hi there, logged on this morning hoping to see a big “Download” button on their home page–Just trying to make sense of how they are managing this OSX release.

From what I have read on this thread, those of us who are registered will be receiving a link from Pixologic to download the OSX version? I purchased mine about 4 months ago as the buy-now-upgrade-later plan they have for OSX.

Thanks.

When you figure it out, please let the rest of us know!

Subtools you say, not sure what they are…

I filled out my form on Saturday as I was away when the form was made available, so I’m guessing I’ll be at the back of the queue, nothing new there then…

All I can say is, I’m glad it’s finally here, my website needs some new work on it!!!

Props to Pixologic for not getting a hitman to take all us moany Mac users out, props to Aurick too for not losing the plot with us…

Please fill out the form at www.pixologic.com/zbrush/upgrade

We’ve got a new activation system for the Mac, which I think everyone will really appreciate. Also, we can’t just send upgrade links to all Mac users because not everyone is on an Intel-based machine yet. So we’re only going to send the upgrade to people who fill out the form.

Fill out the form as thoroughly as you can, but don’t be worried if you don’t have all the info it asks for. It’s perfectly OK to have blank fields. If we can’t locate your account from the info you provide, we’ll contact you for clarification.

After that, just be patient. We’re working as quickly as we can. The launch may not actually happen until pretty late, so as Pixolator said yesterday, “Take this time to rest so you’ll have the energy to run with ZBrush OSX,” when it launches!

Thanks for the update aurick looking forward to using it on the mac pro

Thanks for the heads up aurick. Can’t wait to dig into ZBrush for OS X!

i don’t care how long it takes… i’m gonna ride the wave of this insomnia thing until i get that link!!!

Wondering about batch processing, I sent in my upgrade request on 30 Aug, and received the notification and case number back on the 2nd of Sept.
Is this about the time frame most of you are all on. I’m surprised to see some mention dates as late as last week.

lol… I just got around to it last Friday I believe. Certainly, you’ll get yours before me, Don and I imagine the bulk of upgrade forms were submitted early on. I doubt the difference will be weeks though. I’m guessing I’ll get mine a couple days after you (if that long) and you’re probably in one of the early batches. So dont sweat it.

anybody here get an RSVP before Sep. 2?

I think they should inform people as it’s not anymore Monday for 2/3 of the world.

I’d rather they focus on sending out d/l links myself
