My only criticism is that some of the details on the clothes are a little soft and could use some refinement, it’s not as noticeable in the unpainted version, but the texture makes the lack of sharpness/ detail stand out. That aside the likeness is amazing. Great work!

Thanks.
As for the hair, he main mass was dynameshed box with clay, slash 2, move, snake hook, and fine brush. The strands were just multi-tube brush, and moved a bit.
And twf152, thanks for the crit, yes the cloth has less “brush work” than the face. The head was the primary focus for me. I added the rest for composition and so the head wouldn’t float… But another pass on the cloth in terms of fine brush detail could have been done. (I also only wanted to spend a couple days at most on this piece)
Thx again.

hey J-son!

those latest sculpts are next-gen : ) , I like how you treated the sculpt to feel realistic and painted at the same time, I love seeing the brush work, putting some style in that 3d.

Gratz, keep up the awesomeness!

Nice Tyrion! It’s great to see some style and a little different from other Dinklage Tyrion busts

Thx guys,
What started as a dynamic anatomy study turned into something a bit more “flashy” (Groan).
Hopefully I’ll have a colored version later soonish to…

holy ***t, that expression is priceless!
zbrush can’t keep up with how fast you are modeling… its totally corrupting behind the model  : ). awesome!

Fun Idea man!,
I would get the right leg more extented and the expression could be cool with close mouth, teeth clenched with ripples in the skin like a skydiver.

also there is a bobby chiu runner image that is very inspiring http://www.cgsociety.org/stories/2004_11/olympic_runner/large1280_1024.jpg

The animatrix world record is also a great ref, the crazy deformed perspective would be cool. http://blogofthenorthstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/07/worldrecord1.png

just my 2 cents (I guess 5 cents since we don’t have on cent coins in canada anymore)

thx simon and david,
Yeah, I was thinking about the animatrix short when I started this. And the chiu image is great. I’ll see what I can change…and tweak. I am already using the max perspective in Zbrush. I could distorted the mesh a bit more too perhaps, but I also want to put this thing to bed and move on…j

AMAZING work!

Love how he blew his pants into origami !!

Brother needs some Nike’s if he keeps tearing off like that.

Great work!

thanks again,
And yeah maybe some nikes can keep up with him…

Here are a couple colour versions. Pretty fun and bright.

I have never seen The Flash depicted this creatively, even in the comics.

Wow.

I smell Top Row quality work…:Dman you did a pretty awesome job.love his dynamic pose.keep it up.:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1::wink:

Great take on the Flash! Very unique. :+1:

Man I love how color made Flash pop.
Even the “origami confetti” speed lines look GREAT now.

Nice refinement. Killer price.

Thx guys, origami confetti rocks!

Thx guys, origami confetti rocks!

…because of you, it does!

The more I see this, the more I love it. The clenched teeth version -from my phone screen- looked like he was biting his tongue (like retards and genius’s do when concentrating) [sorry, I’m gonna burn in hell for that]. I thought drool was streaming out too . ~… '… ~~ .

Anyhow, I really like how the bright one (open jaw) came out. The peeling shoes are a great touch too.

This time, I thought I’d do a personal piece in Zbrush. I chose to create a more fantastical/mystical creature. All the design and conception process was inside of Zbrush (and my head, too)
SO, concepted, sculpted, polypainted, posed and rendered in Zbrush. Comped in PS.
