Yona's Little Adventures...

salut yfchild

english version  :
Hi yfchild
In fact I always make a lowpoly under XSI for all my models. I break down the entirety of my figures (head, hands, jacket, tshirt, etc) I never make a poly which regroups all body. In fact under the clothes of my figures there is nothing.
For hair, it is a low poly under XSI modelled with a little of patience;) concerning the mascot, I am absolutely agree with you. In fact the smuggler’s family has a dog (probably a French bulldog) who is going to become his buddy!!
but I prefer finishing all persos before attacking me him. Concerning Enzo, the same principle, a low poly as close as possible to reference. No brush snake, just the move brush and a lot of claybrush.

Thank you for your support!!!

good progress on the last character :+1:, can’t wait to see the whole scene with everything put together

Here’s a very fast update
After some ZB this morning, i’ve spent this afternoon on designs…and here’s GRAND MA!!! i thought that the design part was over but yfchild is right… I’ve to add a mascot to MARTIN… so i’ll have to design a funny french bulldog
For now, i’ve to finish MARTIN’s sculpt!

see you!!

Thanks for the invitation ! :sunglasses: !
quote:“One very important thing when you teach is the fact that the more you explain stuffs the more you improve the understanding of what you do…i also love to discuss with my students. When you work, you don’t have all time you want to read books, comics, watch anime etcc… so when i see my students, they always keep me posted about new stuffs… it’s an exchange…and i love that…i think that i will never stop to be a teacher…”
I thaught for a moment there I heard myself speak - totally agree with you  .

OK i’m sorry Etcher! you have to know that i’ve decided not working for weeks (maybe for months? except teaching of course)…after the 2 years production i’ve worked on, i had to work for me and my projects (is it really work??)
that’s why i spend so much time on ZB
It’s true IT’S NOT FAIR!

I love seeing all of these wonderful characters, they’re so unique each time I visit this thread.

very nice work, I really like your style

great job, love the way you take such simple meshes, and make them into an awesome sculpt

Hop!
i’m sure that a lot of you guys are thinking “My god, does Yona has a life and a work? he is always posting stuffs every 2 hours!!!” and my answer is : Don’t worry i have a life  but no more work :D.
I’ve decided to work for my projects only for the next 2months (till i don’t have no more money  ) the Rintaro’s movie was so exausting (2 years non stop) that i’ve decided to rest a bit
So here’s a big update of MARTIN…i say “big” because i’ve spent a lot of time on the hairs…the jacket and hat were easier to sculpt…Pants and shoes will be too i hope…see you thursday for the final version of MARTIN!

Yeah, I always wondered about that!
The fact that you´ve decided to work on your own projects for the next two months is really cool for all the YONA fans.

Cool update! Great work on the jacket and the hat and I really love the hair. It´s obviously that you´ve spent a lot of time on it – but it´s also obviously that it was worth the effort. :+1:

Love your style! Keep it up!

nice update

on the second shot it maybe looks like the hairs bend a little drastical?

also for such a cool cat wearing headphones and stuff he maybe looks a little shy?

guess its the eyes or maybe the mouth or both combined that give this impression

how about a cool guy lip piercing?

http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_GiMaIGztpbg/Rw9yPUSKu1I/AAAAAAAAA5U/mMImPEK58sA/s400/Lip_Piercing_by_rivjern.jpg

hard to say without knowing the story and his character.
maybe hes supposed to look shy?

anyways keep it up

Hi Disco stu!!
You’re right about the hairs! I’ll fix that when i’ll make the pose (in case of i turn the head to much i won’t have to change them a lot) you were talking about the top right image?
You’re right, MARTIN is shy! a bit introverted  that’s what i wanted to show so i’m not going to ad a lip piercing…it doesn’t fit with his character…
anyway, i agree with you about his expression… i hope to find the good one when i’ll bring him with all the characters in the final scene…
AAAAHHHH…pffffff to many things to fix…thanks for your advices!!!

Great sculptin’ Cédric! :+1: ! Go baby go! :+1: !

HAHAHA
my best support!!! thanks Etcher!! have you finished to paint your place ?

Not by a long shot
3 more rooms to go  !

Is It A Castle Or What???

if I lived in a castle, I probably would be sculpting all day instead of painting walls  ! Enough already!!!

well if hes supposed to look introverted he looks right

beautifull work you guys did on imago.
was kinda hard to see because of the quality
but it looked as if a blurry spot looking like your name was responsible for the 3d things?

in fact i was director, art director of this short…i made the designs for characters,BGs…i have painted all the BGs in watercolor, almost 100 original watercolors, i also did a lot of 3D and composite myself…a 1 year and a half of work…but it was a wonderfull experience as director…the short travelled all around the world (close to 150 selections in festival and won 16 prizes) and i was lucky to be invited in Brasil, Japan, Taiwan just to talk about the short…
Ahhhhhh it was so good… you know why i want to make movies …just to be invited and travel
