Yona's Little Adventures...

Great stuff…
all the best…

Hello!!
thank you all for your kind words!!! i’m glad that you like this little character.
It was my 1st contest and as it was a pleasure to work on it, it will not be the last one!!!

I’m going to work on my characters for my project Travel to Mama.
Now, that i’ve spent time far away from this project, i can see all the defects.
As i have worked on the script, and as the story will take place in the 70’s, i’ve decided to redo Martin (you can see him page 9). All the other characters fit in the 70’s so it’s ok. Martin was the figure whom I loved the least so it’s not a big deal ;)…
I’ll post a new sketch soon

Excellent Cedric !
Ravi de t’avoir rencontrer sur ce concours ! ça m’a permis de voir ton travail dont je suis devenu fan…
A plus !

Gil

I’m 2nd in the CGcoach contest! thank you all for your support!!!

So cool you get the little Nightmaker printed! Im very proud of you! Hope youll get the 3D print soon.

I so love your work! this reminds me of something right out of labrynth. great work!!

Great result Yona, I was in doubt if you’d have come up first of second, evidently originality has not brought you extra points.
It was a great thread to follow all the way through from concept up to the presentation. I look forward to see the sculpt. Congratulations.

Congratulations:D
It will look great as a print.
This one will be really hard to send to france i guess.
Lets hope the post will have a good day when they deliver it

Congratulations, YONA. Really well deserved.

It was a pleasure watching this piece come to life. Congratulations and very well done!!! :+1:

Ow yeah Cédric, way to go! Congratz man! Looking forward to the print pics! :+1: ! And don’t forget, he has to make a cameo in TTM! .

Love it. :sunglasses: :+1:

Thank you all for your kind words!!!
I’ll post some photos as soon as i can! for now i’m working on the “making of”
I’m trying to do something nice and a bit different! i hope you’ll like it!

I’ve tried Paintstop today! I have to say that it was a good surprise for me.
i had some doubts about the utility of this plug. Especially when you know Painter or Artrage. But finally, if you experiment all the different kind of brushes and canvas, you can make sensitives works!
I must say that usually i don’t like to draw directly on the computer but it is the first time that I felt so comfortable with this type of tool.
I’ll try it more later but i have to thank this plug because thanks to him i’ve found the new direction for MARTIN!
Here’s the 1st sketch of his new version.

Beautful work, Yona … nuff said! Love it, can’t wait to see more!

I thought the exact same thing! I wonder whats different to artrage or painter
that makes this possible.
What was wrong with the old martin? I really like the earphones and jacket with buttons on it.

Well, as i was working on the script, i realize that the story had to take place during the 60’s or 70’s… the previous design of Martin became to modern…
i’m not sure he’s not going to wear a hat anymore too… but i’m gonna add a nice jacket

ah…and there will not be LINE anymore too… just MIA…sorry

So many news here! No LINE? :frowning: Why? Dont get lazy, YONA! :p Just kidding. :) Im sure theres a good reason for your decision and Im also sure that you have a great new plan.
