But somehow the lack of a chin/jaw is keeping the face from having a visible structure to it. I can’t tell how he might eat or talk
Yeah. I kinda battling with that issue too. That was kinda the idea to have his neck be so big and woply that you couldnt see his chin. But I see how it is at problem for the face.
Will try to give him more chin.

Don’t know if this makes it clearer - the first image posted has some shadows under the cheekbones and jaw… maybe a bit subtle

I tryed to give him more chin. A little more than the subtle change you suggested Atwooki, but I think I’m getting closer.

Definitely given him more of a solid structure to use as a platform, and
the jawline leads nicely into the bottom of the ears line - cool

Did you stencil the parts of his texture where there seems to be more skin showing through like a mesh?

MoonDoogie>> No stencils. Just a snakeskin as a basetexture. and then another spottexture with about 20% rgb intensity painted on top in PM.
And then breaking it up and making it specifik to the goblin skinform with hilighter/darkener brush in PM.
I think its the snakeskin you see as “skin showing through like a mesh”
This last render is really cool, loads of personality, can’t wait to see him with textured eyes!!
