Woman body

Hello there !

As you can see it’s a female character. The exercise is to work first in Maya and then in ZBrush to add anatomical details. After the modeling maybe I’ll skin my character.

I’m currently playing with my UVs in Maya but I’ll show you the progress in ZBrush as soon as I can. waiting for the details in ZB please feel free to tell me what you think about shape and topology.

I still need to reshape the hands a bit, slightly lengthen the arms, unwrap my UVs of course and many other tiny things.

After that I will be very happy to work with ZBrush !

I hope you understand my english, it’s very hard for me to write in this language (I’m french)…

This is an old wire of the character and old snapshots :

And here’s where I’m right now :

Nice female model! Compared with my female drawing model, it looks pretty accurate to me, though some of the anatomy masters on the forums may be able to point out spots of interest that I can’t see.
This looks nice so far! And your english sounds fine to me.

The body looks really nice and anatomically sound to me. The head may need some more work, though. Nice lips and eyes, but the nose seems to be sunken between the cheeks.

Oke first of…this really looks good…but like you asked for a good crit…if you really look at that female body…over and over again…i dunno…The hands look a little bit to small compared with the rest of the body…now i know female hands are generally small…but these hands are a little bit to small if you know what i mean…but thats about it
Really looking forward for the rest of this wip so Keep up the great work! :+1:

Woah! She’s HOT :stuck_out_tongue: and i really like the design of the bikini top. The only thing i would change like olafdf mentioned is the nose as it does look sunken. All in all though:+1:

Thank you Tidalias for your comments and for your kind words about my english; That’s a relief

olafdf, Artmarqy, john jaspers :
I’ve improved the arms but I’m not very happy with their shapes yet. The hands need a lot of work too…

Yes I’m agree I need to reshape the nose and certainly the lips too but the head won’t be tweak with ZBrush I think a good topology is sufficient.

Thx a lot guys

Here’s some new pictures :

It’s just the beginning with ZBrush but don’t hesitate to tell me if you think it’s right or if you think it isn’t. Thx

Aaah i see…great improvement! and sorry for not responding the past few days…
Oke…it looks very good…and her shades doesnt really needs an improvement in my eyes. You did a great job getting the female form on your canvas  ( i devenitly like the clothes in the last shot!)

I have just another crit...Its not really important because it isnt a crit for the model itself but i just want you to know this:
it just seem to me that you have build most of the detail 'form' and 'flow' in Maya before you used Zbrush to add extra details on the body...now i understand why you did that but...i am thinking you are missing out on the true power from Zbrush! ;)
This link right here will tell you what i mean and there wont be any need for me to explain more:

(yep figure out the Ummmzz of hours you save when you can just draw that body right on the spot instead of doing it slow poke point to point modeling like i did in Lightwave  . Knowerdays for character creation i make just a basic mesh there and switch to Zbrush now lightspeed work right on the canvas  )

So with that out of the way i am looking forward for much more work from this! ;)
Oh and btw...what are you planning to do with this model? Animation or some sort? Interresthing stuff :D Keep it up! :+1:

Wow good modelign keep posting the updates!!

Immensely beauuuuuuuuuuuuutiful!

Accept my admiration dear friend.

Anatom

Artmarqy : Thank you. No I don’t project to do an animation. I just want to skin the body and be able to deform it correctly… Strike several poses…

But I really need to improve my skills in rigging/skinning

esareno, Anatom : Thanks guys

I still need to tweak the hands and the arms…

Pretty nice.
You need to correct some things though like shoulder blade which should come out with an arm being raised.
We see it still sitting in the same place.
