Stupendous job! ! !
hi
It would seem that there will always be someone who thinks you can do better - or at least differently - follow your own vision and do things in your own style. If it’s a technique someone suggests, give it a shot; if it’s a matter of artistic expression, listen to the person providing the input, but go with what you feel inside you…
That statment probably makes me sound like I should be handing out daisies and dancing around with flowers in my hair…but you know what i mean…
keep up the awesome work - to be honest, this model is was the push for me to get back into Zbrush…i Have a looooong way to go before I get where you are now, but seeing what is possible is truly inspiring.
thanks
Very nice indeed. Only wish he could have more clothing cough A loincloth/thong takes away a bit of its viciousness. Although it does kinda make me feel like he’s going to rape me @_@ Does that make me insecure?.. Someone hold me!
Anyways, awesome model. At first I thought it was Batman. Could be if it were not for the claws and the semi-beer belly. I just started ZBrush (along with Cinema 4D) and this work has been a true inspiration for me to get into it (Once my new workstation PC is finished in a day or two.) I’ll keep checking back for the finished model.
Just a general note, the costume is just at its basic stage on the last update. Think of it as the basic enveloppe to start modeling the costume on the character.
Thanks to all the people following, I have completed the costume and the model is now fully unwrapped. I’ll be posting shortly the stage just before going back to zbrush for all the finer details.
bryn: Thank you, I will be testing out posing and camera angles soon for a possible final still image. thanks for your comment!
industripop: Thanks, B/Y costume is really cool, what attracts me the most are the color tones.
j4kn1fe: Thanks for your words, it’s a nice statement and I don’t think u need to dance around with flowers in your hair hahaha. No but it’s good to build some artistic confidence with time and it’s good food for thought. Good luck with you zbrush project!
Vaare: lol for sure, he will have more clothing in the next update. As I mentionned, this is just a base. Thanks and good luck on your projects!
Great modeling, but I hate your take on the mutant. You totally counted out that he could never get that fat because his weight is close to 300 LBS because of his adamantium skeliton, and at only 5’3" with his healing factor; he just could never get that fat. Unless he remained still for like 10 years maybe.
(not a chance bub)
I do like that you used the Gabrielle Dellotto headpiece though. Dellotto rules. I have his art of marvel book.
great work
The character is now done at the xsi stage and I’m going back to zbrush for final touches and finer details.
wierdPal: I see where you’re coming from. Maybe this update will be more to your liking as its starting to come all together. Gabrielle Dellotto rocks! I have his artbook too:D
Great Wolverine my friend!!!Hope to see a “younger” version…
IN THE WILD LANDS
ALIEN FACE HUGGER
MattHHH
Pierre: He just keeps getting better and better. You have captured the Wolverine essence. He feels as if the comic character has come to life, his grumpy attitude and all… I will learn much from this. Thank you…
Dickie
I love more than the firstone.
Only one suggestion, I miss some wrinkles on the suit, you know this thin wrinkles between big muscles.
Anyway it is wonderfull!!!
Arturo
Awsome!
This is bsolutely fabulous!! Great Work…
whatta f***in great modeling!!!
GREAT !
I think you have one of the better versions of this character. Specifically, since you captured him past his prime. Which according to much of the lore, would make him quite old at this stage. Hope I look that good at a fraction of the age. The only thing I see as possibly out of whack, but cool, are the oversize claws in every way. Especially if they retract, that would be painful. That said, when we do cars, technical or otherwise we exaggerate greatly as well, so it works with what you are doing.
Love the long pointy tendrils on the boots! Your clothing details and muscle groups are very inspirational.
=BlackNull=, Glad to see the classic cowl back in action…Every little detail on this guy rocks. This is by far the best rendition of the Wolverine character I’ve ever seen in the 3d world.
Can’t wait to see the update with a little zbrush thrown in.
Amazing!
–Jim
he looks oooold
AWWWWW HELL YEAH!!! Man, this is why I come and check this forum everyday!! This Wolvie is kickin all forms of a$$! Is it me, or did you thin out his waist a little bit?
My favorite parts are the killer boots and the belt. I really wish they would find a way to use the cowl in the movies.
Looks awesome … I cant wait to see more.
hey man, it turned out really great! congrats! the best wolverine i’ve seen in 3d!
