Stunning modeling, lighting and design! The muscles work sooo well. The stitches on the mask are a very nice touch also…:+1:

5 Stars!

Dickie

:sunglasses:
Pilou

This is cool! Wolverine looks great with a few more pounds. Great job!
mm

That mutant immune-system of his apparently doesn’t work on fat

great…no Great work.! :+1:

Bimm

superb job but for christs sake cover him up

I guess I’ll just have to wait to see the finished piece
but i couldnt stop laughing when i first saw this piece
it reminded me of the moth guy from the tick always being confused as being a rabbit

i think the work is nice but some of the proportions and over all look are just reading completely wrong
maybe it’s just me as several others are touting it as being great

i guess we will see when it’s done

cheers

Dude:

At least grant Logan some respect and get rid of that shameful gut.
Do like Frank miller did in “Batman, return of the Darknight” and make him look older but still dignified.

I love the anatomy, really powerfull and dangerous, and a little bit vicious.
I love it!!!
keep posting Arturo

love the face and body shapes! Very original…

FAN-F’n-TASTIC! Saw this on another forum in it’s earlier stages, and I love the way you progressed. I’ve seen a lot of comments about his belly. IMHO the approach you’ve taken gives Wolvie a lot of power. Especially for an older guy. Reminds me a little bit of the take Sam Keith had on Wolverine a few years back. Now the only question is, when do we see a paint job…and which costume (please say brown & yellow, please say brown & yellow.)

I second that brown and yellow!

YUs–brown and yellow.

i have been contemplating for weeks now starting Lobo, my second favorite comic after W.olverine. now this may just inspire me to do it!

The size, of logan looks perfect, being he’s only like 5 ft 3, he appears short enough. Even the oldness if good since my old trading card 15 years ago said he was 83 years old or something, thats good and legit.

there was a comic book series I use to have, called “Havox AND Wolverine: Meltdown” Wolvie was portrayed very well the way you seem to want to portray him, but less bulky. more like an every day man, huge forearms, massive body hair.

Five stars from me!

Joost

BROWN AND YELLOW! haha sorry, just had to say that.

It’s a real pleasure to slowly make my way into the zbrush community, and you guys are great. Opinions are always welcome and I know that some will like one approach and others will have different taste, and that’s totally cool! Because everytime someone posts a thought, I never discard it but question myself about the idea and whether it’s the direction I’d like to take it.

Thanks everybody for following and i hope to update soon!

Bas Mazur: haha, the update is soon, I’m zbrushing the face.

Eidan: oh boy, timelapse videos are scary because it makes me feel like every point I move needs to be in the right place. but really, i keep changing things around quite a bit till I’m happy. But I’d love to make one at some point, I would model something just for it.

Artmarqy: Zbrush was used to create the subtle details, like the wrinkles, cut, leather detail, ect… Then I generated a normal map out of all this to bring out the big wrinkles, and also generated a displacement map that I use as a bump map. Everything is brought back to xsi to be rendered.

Frenchy Pilou: hehe that cigar is pretty much a cylinder at this stage.

UncleGut: working on it, I still have lots do do for the costume, right now he’s pretty much naked, poor guy.

wasa: gave me a good laugh, now everytime I look at him I see a rabbit! As for the proportions, I will get back to the model to review it once i’m done having fun zbrushing the face.

gugesbri: I need to give the poor guy some clothes! but as for the anatomy, it’s just the direction I’d like to take with him.

industripop: paint job will come up once the modeling of the body is done, as for the costume well… brown and yellow!

niceI gotta comment on your work… the anatomy is really really good, and the overall shape is very fitting. His body is resembles those guys in the UFC fighting champs… and you just know those guys are hard, and usually a little bit older too.
Keep it coming, and by the way, the overhead camera shot doesn’t seem to work, I tried using it with a comic book character I modeled, but it just didn’t look right, I guess those comic book artists really push the foreshortening.
laters
B;)

…huh, what should I say more??? Great, skillful, remarkable:+1: :+1:

You rockZZ, Pierre:sunglasses:

-cheers-

Thanks for doing your Wolvie justice with the nice B&Y costume! Can’t wait to see it finished (well, I guess I’ll have to wait.)
