Here is an image that I created while trying to perfect my style and technique in Zbrush. It is made by creating several different elements (tools) and compositing them together on different layers as Pixols, which give you a lot of control when blending them together.
This image was created 99% in Zbrush, the other 1% was a little edge clean up in Photoshop. Created at 4096 x 4096 Pixols. I started out with a colored image, but settled on the monochromatic look, which I always seem to lean to for some reason…
Hey Meats,
Again, great work. I would only crit that the wires are a little too smooth for my taste (you adjusted them with the Smooth Deformer, right?), but maybe that’s just me.
I really like this image, allthough it seems a little “gooey”, if you know what I mean!
…that the interior was like that
Cool deconstruction

Another nice one meats.

nice one meats!!! i’d love to see a little bit of how you did that sometime, maybe in class
Great image. I’ll have to make shure that I pick up your gnomon dvds when they come out. Great to see some new stuff from you because it is always excellent.
Thanks a lot, guys. I’m just having fun with this style, I’m going to push it a lot further in the coming months, once I get a bit more free time to go off on it…
ZippZopp - Hi! Thanks. I will definately show you how I do this in class. I also wrote a little mini tutorial on a thread here a while back about how I go about it - you can find it here: Wire Style
Here are a few more, my hard drive is full of weird quick ones like this because once I have the parts it’s easy to generate hundreds of versions.
I appreciate the comments!
Great stuff, so you have all these parts and then manipulate them till your satisfied with it…brill… …its like your recycling your own 3D. Amazing effect and actually fantastic pieces of art on their own.
Hi, I am looking for the tutorial on this technique not too long ago, masking-hide-delete hiden-make diferent… just could not find under search, can anyone please bring up the thread. Why wasn’t it in the tutorial section?
Oh man these are cool!
I am definately going to have to try this.
Fongct, If you scroll down 2 messages, Meats kindly posted the link you are looking for…called Wire Style…it’s highlighted in a yellow orange color.
Thank you.
a good inspiration! thanks for sharing!
Hey Meatsi have to say that when i first saw you work i just could nto figure out how you did it, and was once again floored at what Z2 could produce in the hands of a skilled artist, kudos. I was curious as to when your training DVD’s would be available for sale.
Amazing work! Could you post some screensshots or video about the way you work to create such relief?
I like the one with the faces in the eye sockets best. Very cool stuff there Meats! Always a pleasure to see your work.
Man that’s some crazy style you got there Meats, you got skillz dude…
I hear what ya saying chadtheartist, that’s my fave to…
