WIP-Game Character

Hi! I have been reading this forum for sometime and alot of artist artwork here really inspired me!!I did like to share my this WIP game character,it’s my final project for the game specialize subject i took.

Fantastic, really great. The facial anatomy seems a bit off to me, like youre missing the inner structure, but i’d love to know how you did those mechanical parts, i cant seem to make mechanical stuff without it looking organic, lol.

thanks for the comment,basicly what i do for hard surface is i use masking and lazy mouse,with lazy mouse option LazyRadius set at around 100 it’s very easy to get clean straight masking line,from there i start to build up thoes stuff.sharp edge basicly is a draw and erase the mask.

Cool. Liking the detail. I’d say his fingers could use more definition in the sillhouette. And the cloth’s folds seem kinda random. I’d work on getting them shaped like they are being formed by the armor and straps. Good job overall.

Really impresive. I like it.
Just keep in mind that in this console generation, you can push a character to 7000/10000 polygons (depending on the game).

You have too much details on hands and the body could have more (specially in the font part). You will need also more for the hair stripes. The detail in zbrush is really cool.

The suit is coming along very well, bravo :slight_smile: as for the head, i guess it’s still wip, right?

i love the armor, fantastic, crisp and clean. the only crit i have is maybe the chest is a bit busy with a few un-nessassry armor plates. just feels like its ditracting from that wonderful sculpting on the arms. the arm band especially i feel plays second fiddle to the chest plate. maybe replacing the central chest plates with a large “fleur de lyse” would work well. anyway thats my 2pence. will definately be keeping a close eye on this thread.

i was wondeing if you could explain how you did the armor for me. i drew this picture that would look awesome as a model and i wanna attempt to make it with 3ds max and zbrush and the armor has the same style as your character does. by the way amazzzzing work will look even more crazy textured :smiley:

howd u do your armor out of curiousity i was hoping to do an armor like that for a character in zbrush

i was wondering if you could explain how you made the armor for your character becuase im in the process of making a character with a mech kinda armor like this one

yo nightimedweller6 sorry for the late reply,these few day i was busy on doing my portfolio.For the had surface i used masking with lazy mouse on,that way u can produce very straight line. from there i use deformation and inflat to bring up the mask.

also very nice on textures of armor i like it alot did you mess with the face anymore? or texture it yet?

thoes textures is painted in photoshop for my reference,it’s not properly textured yet.
well i am still working on the face.will post it in a day or 2!

sorry guys for the late reply,yeah basicly all i use is masking.
