Wild Thing

Hi,

My daughter loved the characters from “Where The Wild Things Are” by Maurice Sendakso I modeled this in ZBrush for printing out on a 3D printer. This is why all the hair and scale details need to be dimensional and not textured on.
Hope she likes it!

That was my favorite book as a kid. You did a great job with the character as he looks just like the one from the book. When you get him “Printed”, I’d love to see how he came out.

Looks really great!

Please post a photo when you get it back from the printer/caster. There are quite a few people interested in the steps to obtain a ‘real’ copy of their model.

Cheers

It gave me nightmares for months when I was a kid.
Every night my room would turn into a forrest, too wild.

Thanks agin to every one for taking the time to reply.

After all the interest in the 3D output, it had better come out good!

ps. Still waiting for the “Cavity Shader” update.

Great character, well done. You modelled that with zspheres?

Yes, it was started off as Z-Spheres. If anyone is interested in the construction I could post some screen grabs later on.

Thank you for the comments and suggestions.

I have put some texture on the shirt and added the base. This has now gone to the printer…see how it turns out!
