There is one thing I realy like about this Zbrush , besides the obvious. Is it reminds me of WED clay.
Hope you dont mind me studying these for sculpture reference ???

Your hair solution - part sculpt -part photoshop looks great - I’m not sure it can be much improved. I found this old thread with some interesting looking hair play -

Amazing modeling as always
Cant wait to see texturing on this model
Hi mm,
looks really scary.
Maybe you can work a little on the tip of the nose
and on the chin, it’s to round.
Great thread!

Been soooo long since I have posted or responded, but MM always inspires. Love how you got the textures to look so fleshy. I am equally impressed with your willingness to share. Thanks for the tips, etc. Perhaps some day I shall get a chance to use them. Too busy on a new project though.
Looking forward to seeing your next move!!
All the best MM
I would not change a thing on the face. It’s just not your average mal nutritioned monster.
I am curious how your hair will look at the end. I think a littledeformation will tame it into the right direction.

MM -i knew you’d like that hair technique!Once you’ve pushed it around a bit it’ll look softer . I’ve been doing what you said you were going to do- stay off the forum so as to get on with some work!
Cant wait to see the next update!

Hoo ! Scary face. That’s awesome.
fantastic texture! really nice work so far.
I’m brand new to Z-brush, and i have been haveing trouble with eye forms. what do you do for the eyes? I have been just sculpting the character with no eyes, and puting them in at the last minute, but i dont like doing it this way.

Hi, I figured it was about time to try and put the pieces together and think about the layout more. That probably would have been better to do in the beginning, that way I wouldn’t have spent as much time on the back of the hand that you don’t really see in this layout. Learn from my mistakes. As much as I love ZBrush I’m not crazy about putting things together from seperate pieces on different layers one piece at a time. Especially because I always forget to mark the piece. It’s hard to get a good pose and to keep things in proportion , which they aren’t in this image. Remember this is still very much a wip. There is probably a much better way to do this. Please let me know if there is. I figured that it would be helpful to do this now and see where to spend my time finishing and what doesn’t really matter. Boy I had a lot of crashes doing this. Fortunately I saved the doc often. Which reminds me is there a way to make keep the tools in the saved doc? When I open up a doc after a crash the tools are in their layers but not in the tool box thing,so if I want to change something I have to load the tool again. Anyways sorry this is so long and not really teaching much

the last one is the best one, MM
MM your work scares me, totally awesome, you are a walking advertisement for why people should use ZBrush…
Superb!
Nice cloth texture… I never think to make a cloth texture so used, but it render superb…
Isn’t the hat a bit to big?
Great modelling and detailling. Really like the head and the hands.
I agree with Sebcesoir, the head and hat might be too big ,compared to the body.

great modelling, man, as always !!
and I think you have given a lot of ideas to many people, you teach well
thx to you and heardmann about the links
MM, I sure hope someone can answer that question for you about saving the tools with the documents. Once again, it would be a great time saver! Your work inspires me endlessly
Great work MM, thanks for sharing!
You can’t save tools with a document but there’s an easy way to save stuff, use: Sven’s PSnap plugin .
I know Sven (and probably other scripters too) has thought about a ‘Save All’ button. The trouble is that with any number of 3D tools in the Tool Palette it could all get rather time-consuming just checking what needs to be saved, not to mention the disk space necessary.
Markers are a good way of at least partly solving your problem, and they are saved with the document. But I know it is difficult to remember to use them. I’d like to develop a plugin or script to address some of the issues but Markers and MultiMarkers are not directly addressed in the zscript commands which makes it difficult. You can be sure that as soon as they are (perhaps in the update?!) then an enterprising scripter will be on to a script promptly!
Hi first of all thanks marcus-civis for the response to my question and to everyonse else for their responses. Ya, I agree that the head and hat are too big. I ment to do that, but not actually that much. As I think I said before I thought the clothes were too big so I figured If I made the head bigger they would look smaller and, I happen to like big top hats. Anyways today I was going to work on modeling some more finish the teeth fix up the head more ect. but, I desided to test out a paint job instead. This image is straight out of ZBrush except for the type and change to jepg . I planning on a lot of post photoshop work but thought that you should see it like this first. Also some Ztimelaps of the painting process .I’ll talk more about that later but have to go now
