Truely AWESOME Monstermaker/ Rick!!!
Hi Monstermaker,
Man, your work is great and always eyecandy. You are a great sculptor and if you work a little more in your shaders and light your work will look even more impressive! Congratulations for another great piece
Now Rick
Man!!! I’m another HUGE fan of yours man!
Hahahahahahahahaha. This was the surprise of the year. I know your work since I was a kid and I always had a dream to work with make up for movies, creating monsters, buying a lot of magazines with your stuff as constant inspiration, watching movies and movies with your work on it. That was a great surprise for sure but more than this, I’m VERY happy to see you trying digital tools and proving that art is part of the mind, hands and heart and CG for a real artist is just another media to express emotions and create great things.
Thanks a lot for share your work and nice tips with all the people here and for being so kind and opened to a new and great technology like ZBrush. I hope you continue posting. Will be our honor, that’s for sure
Take care and keep rocking,
Kris
ps.: I think will be better if everybody continue calling you monstermaker and helping with the feedback you are looking for
Monstermaker,
You’re work has always been a complete inspiration here at ZBC. Just because you’re anonymity has vanished doesn’t mean your work has to vanish from these forums as well. Please keep’em comin’! The progression of your work in ZB is simply amazing. Thanks for sharing your insights and techniques.
All the best!

Hi Rick,
Do you have any specifics about which day you will be at siggraph?
Your work is the monthly special on the Discovery channel over here…we are not worthy. Pitty they didnt include the 3D…damn.
Awesome - What else can I say
WOW, thats incredible work man… thanks for the step by step tut!
Hey Monster Maker, I am huge fan of all your work both digital and fx.
I had a question about the hands you did. Did you pose them in another package or model them as the are now in zbrush. I am pretty new to zbrush and also wondered how you did your final comp with all the different objects you created. I need to do some digging in the manual about that but I thought maybe you could shed some light on how YOU work. Thanks I look forward to your next creation.

MM,
I just stumbled accross this thread and am floored by your presence here. Your work is a great inspiration to me.
I am excited to learn that you will be at SIGGRAPH. I will be attending also. I was also wondering when you will be around during the week as I have always longed to be able to meet you at the IMATS,but never able to go.
If you happen to walk the floor, I and the rest of my group (Interbots)http://www.etc.cmu.edu/projects/ibi/
are presenting in the E-Tech area. We have an animatronic robot that we are developing interactive experiences for.
My field of study is in creature effects and I hope to meet you…
Thanks again for your great work.

Hi Rick,
own limits without the opportunities to spend the time and money that
come with a highprofile (film)job. A good gig, where people will try to
understand why they should wait…
Monstermaker: it would be awesome if you took your Hyde there and made an “impossible sequel” (since Lon Chaney probably couldn’t make it to the shoots ;)).
If it was completely transparent that CG was used it would be ideal. I think that that is one area that CG hasn’t quite done to great extent. I would also like to see Abbott and Costello come back and have another round with Dracula and the guys. Don’t know if there would be a huge audience for it these days though. You would have to give your Hyde that birthmark too.
… how the hell you modeling in Zbrush with such low polygons !!! … my models are very very high polygonal - and looking on facetes in max7 … …
great worx man !
